We had a bun double burner for about 20 years and noticed it wasn't keeping water level anymore. Coffee was pretty strong at times. We bought this Thermal maker and wish we'd bought sooner. There's no need to worry about leaving a burner on, no worry about burning glass carafes. The thermal maker keeps coffee hot for hours and is a space saving asset to our kitchen as well. WE LOVE IT !!
Ok, YES it's expensive... but my goodness, this makes a seriously delicious cup of coffee. Very easy to operate, easy to clean (yes.... you do need to clean out your coffee pot and lid, is that so hard?) and very fast.My boyfriend and I were concerned about the power usage, as it keeps a full tank of water at coffee-making temperature all day and night... this is how it makes the coffee so fast: it eliminates the time needed to boil the water. So far though, it seems to be acceptable... though I don't know what wattage it uses in a month, I did not see any drastic increase in my electric bill.Beautiful coffee maker. The coffee is the best I've tasted, at home or out. A great buy.
We love the Bunn brewer. Coffee brews fast and tastes great. Brewer is easy to use, once we got the hang of keeping the reservoir heated....only thing is the carafe lid is a little balky getting on and off....hopefully it will loosen up over time. Overall, we love this coffee maker.

This coffee maker took some time to get the mix right. Yes, it does make coffee in 3 minutes but it also takes about 6 more minutes to prepare before you can start the brewing process. As far as it leaking as one other reviewer mentioned, Only if you don't have the lid on right. I erred a couple of times but re-alined and it is fine. It does keep the coffee hot for a long time without getting bitter, my reason to buy it.
