Metal End Table
from Minneapolis, MN,  May 9, 2007

This end table was a very good value. Similar items at a trendy furniture store start around 2 times the price. The two things worth noting about the look of the table are (1) the metal is painted black and done in a way that is intended to look "stressed" or "worn". It looks good from a distance, but up close has the appearance of being fake, (2) the assembly brackets are situated in such a way that brackets and screws are visible. Thus, if you are planning to place this table somewhere where it will be viewed close up, these features will be visible.

Sweet Deal
from Washington, DC,  Sep 21, 2010

Great end tables for the money! After a quick coat of dark bronze spray paint these looked like they were from one of those barn, barrel places but for 1/3 of the money. I'm a realtor and used these for staging a condo and people love them. Please note: shop the table around on the internet for a better price and overstock will match it.

Tables came out great....but needed a little help!
from Virginia Beach VA,  Dec 20, 2011

I had been looking for these tables at another well known company but refused to pay the price they were asking. I came across these tables as having the "look" of the more expensive brand. I took a chance and ordered two end tables (they come individually - not as a set). Everything was packaged well...all parts included...glass packed well - BUT I needed an additional set of hands along with a rubber malllet to get everything "lined" up to put the screws and nuts in properly. It didn't take long once we figured out the first one, but it was a challenge and I am moderately capable. Regarding the color, they are definately a matte black w/ silver striations - I wanted more of a bronze look - a few coats of paint with good quality spray paint did the trick! I really am thrilled with how they look now. Like I said, they just needed a little "help". I also saved a significant amount of money!

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Color was the same as site, not what I was looking for but workable
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. The product was of decent quality, about what I expected
  • How accurate was the on site description of the product? Accurate

Bunch metal Glass end table
from Largo, Fl.,  Sep 13, 2011

Let me just say, if one just looks at the drawing on the instructions, and forgets the actual written instructions....you have much better luck. I thing it was translated from the Chinese and therefor doesn't work.....just look at the picture and use common sense and it goes together easily. Also to the person who wrote that you can see the screws....you must have put it together upside down, cause no hardware shows. It's sturdy and fits my decor perfectly. I love that it has a simple design that looks expensive.

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Not quite as black but kind of distressed...I liked it. I thought maybe I'd touch it up, but it looks good as is.
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Excellent quality...not at all flimsy and worth the $

Very Happy
 from Michigan,  Nov 17, 2006

This is my first purchase from Overstock. I love these tables. It is very hard to find small end tables for my small room. I am thrilled with how they look with my other furniture and how very solid and sturdy they are. I will certainly shop with Overstock again.

Beautiful Table, Great Price
from Waco, Texas,  Dec 4, 2013

I absolutely love this table. I bought two of them to use in my living room. I've only put one together so far (which is very simple to do), and it's a very nice end table. It's incredibly sturdy, a nice heavy weight (not light and flimsy), and comes with tempered glass. I read some of the negative comments about the finish, but decided to go ahead and order them. I really don't like rustic, worn-looking finishes (except for those that occur naturally), so while I wasn't crazy about the finish up close, from a few feet away they just look solid black. The good thing is that even though the finish looks like it might have a texture to it, the metal is actually quite smooth, so spray painting it is a breeze -- no sanding or prep work needed at all. After living with the black for a couple of weeks, I actually decided that I wanted mine to be gold (yes...gold), so I spray painted it, and the finish turned out beautifully because of the smooth metal on the table. And it cost me about $3.50 for a can of spray paint and took about five minutes (not including drying time) to paint the table. So really, if you end up not liking the finish, it's such an easy thing to change it. I would still highly recommend this table just based on the style, quality, weight, etc.

Great Little Side Table
 from California,  Oct 17, 2013

This metal table has clean lines goes with most all decor. It was a bit difficult to put together as some parts were not exactly cut at 90 degree angles, but, it's sturdy and well made.

you get what you pay for
from Marin County, CA,  Sep 25, 2013

This table is just what I was looking for unobtrusive, inexpensive. I followed others' suggestions and spray-painted the unattractive metal to a copper color, and it looks great. However, putting it together was not easy. The holes for the bolts were off, and the joint pieces were not welded at right angles on two of the legs. It took brute force and two people to jam the pieces together and force the bolts in. One was just impossible and we had to leave it. So the end result is the if you're a very picky person, the legs and tops are not 100% flush on the table. But this is just a little side table on one end of the couch and not that visible, so it works for me.

Table as expected but assembly was troublesom
from Naperville, IL,  Sep 11, 2013

Due to some pieces being welded together, the assembly was more challenging than it needed to be. Once I disassembled and tried again, going in reverse order of the directions, it fit together a little better. HOwever, there are still 2 screws that cannot go in since the screw holes don't match up. I'm glad I tried again, but only did so because I was unwilling to take on the hassle of returning the item with glass shelves!

Great Narrow Table
 from Michigan,  Jul 16, 2013

Easy assembly, sturdy, arrived in excellent condition. Bought 2 for my family room and they fit nicely where I needed them. I want to paint them bronze but hubby likes em the way they are (distressed, black / silver). Distance between shelves is off a bit from description though ... clearance from bottom to middle shelf is 11.75", from middle to top shelf is 4.75". Glad I waited to get them before I bought the baskets I thought would fit.

More distressed than expected
from Washington state,  Jun 14, 2013

The tables themselves were constructed well. Assembly went ok. They actually had some extra screws in case you lost some. In reading the reviews before purchasing, people were discussing the distressed appearance, and that many would want to repaint them. I bought 5 of these tables in two sizes. All of them had a huge amount of steel showing through. It looked like the were intentionally rub all over with a spinning wire brush. Original appearance was totally unacceptable.

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Moe distressed appearing than what I was expecting to see

Good utilitarian table
from Highland CA,  Jun 8, 2013

I have only the use of one hand and I was able to put it together in about one hour. I'm a little disappointed in the finish of the rod iron. I would have preferred it solid black instead of a streaking finish. Otherwise it has turned out to be a good fit in my living room and is the correct height for the arm of the chair that sits beside it.

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? a little off
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. it seems to be a solid table and the glass is heavy enough to hold heavy items
  • How accurate was the on site description of the product? the finish could have been more descriptive

Beautiful Table---BUT
 from KS,  Sep 13, 2012

Love the table now that it has been assembled. Assembly looked so simple--and it should have been--but the holes and the screws just did not line up and the screws did not seem long enough. I spent at least 4 hours one day trying to get the table together so my husband didn't have to deal with it. After giving up, I decided to just send it back. Once my husband decided to tackle the job, he wouldn't give up and somehow got it together in 2 - 3 hours. That is just not acceptable for something that should be pretty simple.

  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Finished product seems study and acceptable.

Perfect accent piece for any decor style
from Chicago, IL,  May 9, 2012

I was looking for a nice accent/end table for my living room and did not want to pay hundreds of dollars for one - but I'm picky and selective about what I buy. My furniture is a mix of high-end and medium-priced pieces (Crate and Barrel, Dania, CB2, Pier One) so I wanted to make sure I found a piece that wouldn't stick out. The bunch metal glass end table ended out working perfectly with my living and dining room - it looks great with a few decorative accents on the top two shelves - and the price was unbeatable. I'm really happy with it.

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Accurate: the black is a bit distressed, which might be hard to tell from the photo
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Great quality. It is sturdy and has a high-quality look
  • How accurate was the on site description of the product? It was accurate

bunch table
from south carolina,  Mar 17, 2012

I was initially impressed with my shopping experience on overstock.com. However, it was difficult to get close up views of products and I had to rely on the product description. The shipping was great as I figured the price was marked up somewhat to cover the cost. When the tables arrived, my husband assembled the first one. It was terrible! the finish did not match the picture, it was cheap looking, and was not sturdy. I don't think I could have even placed a lamp on it without the glass breaking. Then, when looking into returning the product discovered that the shipping to return as well as the repackaging fee ate up about half the money I had spent on the tables! Look carefully, prior to buying and always check the return policy!

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? not even close. it looked like an unfinished product that needed to be painted again
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. very poor quality that did not match the product description!!!!
  • How accurate was the on site description of the product? very poor

Glass end table
 from Texas,  Aug 25, 2011

The directions were extremely confusing which was surprising because I had purchased similar tables previously (not from Overstock) - the holes didn't match where the screws were supposed to be attached so we had to improvise - the top was not attached securely as a result so glue had to be used. when i attempted to attach the top with glue the leg twisted and couldn't be put back without disassembling the whole table. not worth the trouble so we ended up with a shaky table.

Great table
from Denver, CO,  Jul 29, 2011

I appreciate the other reviews that detailed the black and silver distressed finish on this table. This is a solid, well-designed piece. I must disagree with another reviewer who wrote that the screws and bolts are visible. There are well hidden under each shelf.

Not Again
from Burbank, CA,  Nov 3, 2010

I was attracted to this table because it looked like an alternative to pricier****** iron tables. Also, as I was using it as a bedside table, the size was more appropriate. Unfortunately, it just didn't measure up. First of all, the finish is inferior. It's supposed to look "distressed"; instead it just looks like a bad black finish with shiny silver showing through in a few places. Also, assembly was VERY difficult. I have plenty of experience assembling furniture, am mechanically inclined, and have the right tools. But the holes did NOT line up, and I still have leftover bolts that were just impossible to insert. I am using this table in just the way that I had planned, but that's only because I don't have the time or patience to deal with the hassle of returning it.

Misleading color
from San Francisco, CA,  Dec 2, 2007

I liked the look of the item and the color when I saw it online, but discovered when I opened the box that the item is not completely black like I had hoped. It looks like someone had taken a pure black item and then scratched it repeatedly with a key, thereby creating streaks of silver.
