This end table was a very good value. Similar items at a trendy furniture store start around 2 times the price. The two things worth noting about the look of the table are (1) the metal is painted black and done in a way that is intended to look "stressed" or "worn". It looks good from a distance, but up close has the appearance of being fake, (2) the assembly brackets are situated in such a way that brackets and screws are visible. Thus, if you are planning to place this table somewhere where it will be viewed close up, these features will be visible.

Great end tables for the money! After a quick coat of dark bronze spray paint these looked like they were from one of those barn, barrel places but for 1/3 of the money. I'm a realtor and used these for staging a condo and people love them. Please note: shop the table around on the internet for a better price and overstock will match it.

I had been looking for these tables at another well known company but refused to pay the price they were asking. I came across these tables as having the "look" of the more expensive brand. I took a chance and ordered two end tables (they come individually - not as a set). Everything was packaged well...all parts included...glass packed well - BUT I needed an additional set of hands along with a rubber malllet to get everything "lined" up to put the screws and nuts in properly. It didn't take long once we figured out the first one, but it was a challenge and I am moderately capable. Regarding the color, they are definately a matte black w/ silver striations - I wanted more of a bronze look - a few coats of paint with good quality spray paint did the trick! I really am thrilled with how they look now. Like I said, they just needed a little "help". I also saved a significant amount of money!

This is my first purchase from Overstock. I love these tables. It is very hard to find small end tables for my small room. I am thrilled with how they look with my other furniture and how very solid and sturdy they are. I will certainly shop with Overstock again.

Let me just say, if one just looks at the drawing on the instructions, and forgets the actual written instructions....you have much better luck. I thing it was translated from the Chinese and therefor doesn't work.....just look at the picture and use common sense and it goes together easily. Also to the person who wrote that you can see the screws....you must have put it together upside down, cause no hardware shows. It's sturdy and fits my decor perfectly. I love that it has a simple design that looks expensive.

The directions were extremely confusing which was surprising because I had purchased similar tables previously (not from Overstock) - the holes didn't match where the screws were supposed to be attached so we had to improvise - the top was not attached securely as a result so glue had to be used. when i attempted to attach the top with glue the leg twisted and couldn't be put back without disassembling the whole table. not worth the trouble so we ended up with a shaky table.

I appreciate the other reviews that detailed the black and silver distressed finish on this table. This is a solid, well-designed piece. I must disagree with another reviewer who wrote that the screws and bolts are visible. There are well hidden under each shelf.

I was attracted to this table because it looked like an alternative to pricier****** iron tables. Also, as I was using it as a bedside table, the size was more appropriate. Unfortunately, it just didn't measure up. First of all, the finish is inferior. It's supposed to look "distressed"; instead it just looks like a bad black finish with shiny silver showing through in a few places. Also, assembly was VERY difficult. I have plenty of experience assembling furniture, am mechanically inclined, and have the right tools. But the holes did NOT line up, and I still have leftover bolts that were just impossible to insert. I am using this table in just the way that I had planned, but that's only because I don't have the time or patience to deal with the hassle of returning it.

Got this end table and it was clear the manufacturer hadn't finished painting the metal. Returned!.

I liked the look of the item and the color when I saw it online, but discovered when I opened the box that the item is not completely black like I had hoped. It looks like someone had taken a pure black item and then scratched it repeatedly with a key, thereby creating streaks of silver.

Poor value. Very disappointed in quality. Not something I would ever recommend

I was looking for a nice accent/end table for my living room and did not want to pay hundreds of dollars for one - but I'm picky and selective about what I buy. My furniture is a mix of high-end and medium-priced pieces (Crate and Barrel, Dania, CB2, Pier One) so I wanted to make sure I found a piece that wouldn't stick out. The bunch metal glass end table ended out working perfectly with my living and dining room - it looks great with a few decorative accents on the top two shelves - and the price was unbeatable. I'm really happy with it.

As other reviewers have said, the finish on this piece is not the greatest. It is a faux antique with the emphasis on faux. The other negative is assembly. You MUST follow the numbers for assembling legs and shelves or everything will NOT fit together. Also, as youb assemble, don't tighten any screws down until you have all 4 corners fastened. Then tighten the way you were taught in shop class... go to opposite corners first to tighten. The fit of glass is just ok. On the plus side: 3 shelf design, tempered glass, size was perfect for my limited space, and of course, price. When I say I would recommend this product, it's only with the qualifications listed above.

I was initially impressed with my shopping experience on overstock.com. However, it was difficult to get close up views of products and I had to rely on the product description. The shipping was great as I figured the price was marked up somewhat to cover the cost. When the tables arrived, my husband assembled the first one. It was terrible! the finish did not match the picture, it was cheap looking, and was not sturdy. I don't think I could have even placed a lamp on it without the glass breaking. Then, when looking into returning the product discovered that the shipping to return as well as the repackaging fee ate up about half the money I had spent on the tables! Look carefully, prior to buying and always check the return policy!

When I first looked at the end table, I was struck why there were so many scratches on the metal. Later on, I found that, it's not scratches, it's the style of its metal which I didn't know know when I purchase it (because I looked into the picture more closely later on). It looks old and re-fabricated. The lower layer has less room than we thought. We bought an IKEA basket and wanted to place it inside the lower layer and it didn't fix. Now, we put the lowest frame upside down which allow a little more room to place the basket. Hopefully, it could support the weight when it only holds on the screws.

nice table, with shelf. I like but glass top not as strong as needed to place crystal lamp also purchased from Overstock. Great for lighter lamp. Great size and the extra shelf a bonus.
