I just had to write a review, praising this product. It is very high quality and looks so expensive! Yes, there are a lot of parts to assemble, however if you take your time and follow the instructions, it looks beautiful. It took my husband about 4 hours to assemble the buffet and another 2 for the hutch. We are totally happy with this product. It came very timely within 2 days and was packaged very well to keep all the pieces in perfect condition. I will definitely buy from overstock again.

The frame itself is a little wobbly (or mine was) however I just layed down a strip of wood glue in all the creases while the unit was upside down and then a second layer the next day and everything tightened right up and the wood glue is in the upper creases of everything so you dont really see it. You get what you pay for of course. The doors of course are not perfect but they are not far off from where they should be and everything functions correctly (I dont have any stuck doors or anything). The unit is cute once its put together and it has a nice depth to it (I am using it in my bathroom) so I would say for the price this is a pretty good storage unit.

  • Not worth the time and money

All of the bigger sides of this unit were not hardwood. The hardwood in the other pieces was of a poor quality. Not even sure what hardwood it was to resemble. The hardwood was made up of smaller pieces (scrap wood ) of joined wood to make bigger pieces. After assembly drawers would not open or close without force. Some panels did not match in color. For the price, way to much assembly. 153 assorted screws, 41 pieces of assorted hardware, 42 shelf pins and 64 pieces of wood and panels to be joined. This product was higher end than pressboard through and through, but still not worth the time and money.

This turned out to be a lot cooler looking than we had anticipated. The color and wood grain pattern is very nice. Sort of a mid-century, Euro-modern meets Tahiti. Very heavy once you get it assembled. Looks like a piece of furniture worth $2000 +. We get a lot of compliments on it. It is possible for one person to assemble, but would highly recommend having a second person assist when putting the four doors on since they tend to be tricky. Only negative we have is that it comes with only one shelf per side. There is so much room inside that two shelves per side would have been nice.

  • A giant headache to assemble

I'm still fighting to get it together. I thought I was doing okay, then discovered I had a part in two sections backwards, which means I have to take them apart and reassemble. The instructions contain no text, just a dozen drawings. Each step will list the parts and hardware, but no indication as to what piece to attach where FIRST, so you often have to back up and do something else first. Also, when looking at the drawings AND the wood you usually have no idea whether you're looking from the top or bottom, left or right. If I ever get it assembled this will cure me of buying something that doesn't come already in one piece. Life's too short. I should have believed all the other reviewers who said this unit is a bear to assemble. If you're the kind of person who can do this kind of thing intuitively, you'll be fine. For those of us who follow instructions, you'd better stock up on aspirin.
