i really love this bed. i managed to pretty easily assemble it by myself. i love love love the way it looks. i suppose it could be a bit sturdier, but it's just a great bed all in all.
How often do you shop at Overstock.com? First time
I wanted a bed that makes an impression and this is it. After having make-do headboards and frames in the past, this is quite a step up. Altho' it has a good sized flaw, it is only visable upon close inspection and I probably would not have noticed had my sweet hubby not pointed it out. Assembly was relatively easy. A slat was missing but it is still fine. This is a solid piece of furniture and quite striking. Should be much more pricey.

The bed apperance is beautiful. Surface view is smooth and uniformed but supporting pieces are definately of lower quality and unfinished. Resulting in numerous splinters. Supporting pieces also have numerous knots making them weak and prone to breakage. Purchased solid wood supports to replace defective pieces. Adding to overall cost of purchase.
