This sofa is attractive, comfortable, and functional. It's a great value for the price. That said, nobody will mistake it as a high-end sofa. It would work perfectly in a family room/den or a guest room. As for me, I plan to use it as my primary sofa for a year or two while getting settled until I can afford a higher-end piece.
The sofa arrived in six business days and the pieces were in perfect condition. The limited instructions (one drawing) can be confusing. As a novice furniture assembler, I would have been lost had it not been for my friend who has many years of experience putting together furniture from a well-known Swedish furniture store. Because of her, we were able to assemble the sofa in just under an hour. Some of the screws were a difficult fit, but with some extra elbow grease we got them all in. Two of the screws, labeled "J" on the instruction sheet, had stickers on them with the label "D". But in the end, all the screws fit tightly into all the pieces. Recommend making sure the folding click-clack device is in the down position before attempting to put the sofa together. (My sofa arrived in the package with the folding device in the up position.) No tools are needed other than the included allen keys for assembly.
Because the back legs stick out quite far, the back edge of the sofa back is 11" from the wall when in the up position. The front edge of the sofa back is 17" from the wall when in the up position. I'm thinking of getting an 8" or 10" deep console table to put behind the sofa against the wall. Otherwise, it is an odd empty space between the back of the sofa and the wall.
Overall, I recommend this product.
