Brown Microfiber Futon Sofa Bed

For the quality this futon appears to be a little overpriced but I am pleased with the features and style. My family is very interested in the more modern styles and thus we were drawn to this one. We use it mostly as a sofa but anticipate using it as a bed when our cousins visit next month.

This is just perfection in my daughter's dorm room. I can use it as a bed when I visit, she can use it as a sofa to unwind with friends, and she can use it as a chaise lounge with the side angled up (pictures don't show this!). It isn't the most comfortable thing but it's a futon, it's in a dorm, and it's not something we intend to own for years and years. The features are great!

The cushioning of this sofa is as hard as other reviewers had described, but I needed something narrow enough for a small guest room and this fits. Because it was also less expensive I used some of the savings toward a memory foam topper, which makes it a bit more serviceable as a mattress -- for short term use, anyway. One complaint: The first time I brought in a guest to use it, after I'd assembled everything and made the bed without any problems, we walked into the room to find that one of the legs had fallen off. WTF??? It didn't have to do with the screws I'd used to assemble the legs to the plate (the assembly process necessary after it had been delivered), but with the screws where the plate had been attached to the bottom of the mattress before it had been delivered. This meant that late at night, right when I wanted a friend to be able to use this futon as a bed, we had to mess up the bedding and turn the whole thing on its side and fumble around for screw holes underneath the black fabric on the bottom side, just to get the plate for the leg re-attached. Fortunately it's the only time that's happened so far, and I hope the ONLY weird incident. I'd still buy it again unless I could have found a better futon for the small space that I needed, but I wouldn't recommend it for use as someone's primary bed or as a piece of furniture that needs to take much of a beating without falling apart.

Came as one package with a little effort to put together. Love the looks, but disappointed with the size and its too firm for comfort. But my boyfriend loves it, so I'm sold.
