I suffer from multiple allergies & chemical sensitivities. I don't know if it's something in the wood people burn these days, but I become horribly ill when I'm anywhere near a wood burning fire. This fireplace gives off no fumes and no smoke, just a delightfully warm fire. Most gels come in a can & contain two simple ingredients, wood or grain alcohol and salt. The salt makes the fire "crackle".

At first I was skeptical about ordering online (as this is my 1st purchase with overstock.com) , but once I read the reviews my mind was made up. I couldn't wait to receive the bronze wall mount fireplace. Once it arrived, I was ecstatic. It will definitely go with the ambient look I'm looking for , warm and cozy. It will be placed in my living room, above my flat screen TV. I look forward to making more purchases with overstock.com in the future.

Love it! Looks great and gives off just enough warmth to take the chill off the room! Wished I had bought more for other rooms!

I purchased this for the dining room wall. It makes a wonderful focal point and takes the chill off the area.

I purchased 2 of these fireplaces in Dec, and the assembly was seamless...the aesthetic appeal was nice as well. I guess the only drawback would be the fact that the gel cantenes that are sold in the local stores fit low in the fireplace containers, so the fire is def not as high as the thumbnail pictures denote it is on Overstock's website. Still a good buy if you want a nice conversation peice in your living room or bedroom. I am going to see if there are bigger gel cantenes for purchase...if not, no biggie...just don't expect a roaring fire like the pictures lead you to beleive. I would buy another.

This is the second wall fire place i've gotten and they are a great addition to any wall decor.
