If you can get the darn thing on your wall it is great. Looking at the instructions makes this installation much harder than if you lay out the pieces and just figure it out - they make no sense and will really confuse you. If you want it installed really well you will need to go out and get a few nuts to secure the screws that hold the lamp to the plate. I was to lazy, but I know I will have to fix it as I use the swing arm because the outer plate will eventually part from the wall mounted plate. The swing arm is very stiff, but I caould probably oil it.Here is what I did: 1. feed smaller (non wood) screw through the mounting plate just enough that they will not touch the wall when the plate is screwed into the wall. 2. Mounted the plate to the wall - I just used my own sheet rock screws with the mounting pieces for sheet rock(drill and insert into wall). Put the lamp onto the screws and put the nuts on. Wire fed tubes(was not easy) and get the plug on (can't help you with the plug as I don't have that part right). Good luck.
I was very pleased with this wall lamp which is much prettier than the illustration. Some assembly is required but any adult could do it. The shade has beautifufl detail and a nice finished edge. My order came quickly and I really got a great value for my money.
Nice value for the money. Looks as described, arrived quickly. I shopped around at the local home improvement stores before purchase and these were by far the best value.
The lamps went up well and have held up very well.

These lamps really make a statement - classic beauty - a beautiful addition to our master bedroom.
Was completed thrilled when I opened my lamps! Love it, love it, love it!!! Even better than the picture. Makes me realize that I am truly into decorating my new homes like they have been around a long time. I guess I love the "antique" look these lamps give. I don't really like antique furniture - I just like pieces and accessories that reflect a certain period. These are so beautiful that I am considering ordering 2 more because this house is currently on the market and I definitely want them to go with me if the next owner will let me keep them (but probably won't) and if not - I will already have mine for the next house! Also, must mention that I was well pleased with the price.
The lamps were beautiful and of great quality. Exactly what I was looking for. There were even cord covers (metal not plastic) so that the cords wouldn't just be dangling down the wall. I bought a set of two for our bedroom. I am very pleased with my purchase.
The joints were stiff so I had to grease them up a little and now they move fine.
This lamp was easy to install and works great in my older home. I needed light over the small kitchen table and it is perfect!
We bought two of these lights for our closets and they are too pretty to be there. they throe a nice light and I would recommend them.
Lamps are very elegant. We purchase for master bedroom above the bed and they look stunning! Installation was easy, and yes it does have two colors on shades darker and lighter, close to beach sandy color.
nice lamp but the color was a bit weird. looked like it was painted over with another color that wasn't quite the same. don't know if that was the intended finish or not and it's not bad, just not exactly what I expected. otherwise good lamps.
I looked all over at swing arm lamps and really liked the color and design of this lamp. It's a very nice lamp - the arm is a little stiff but I haven't tried WD40 to loosen it so that may help. The shade is heavy duty and very nice. Installation was not too bad if you have basic mechanical skills. The hardest part was getting the cord through the tubing but that was just tedious rather than difficult. The screws that hold the lamp in place are way too long. You might want use shorter screws rather than try to rig the fit with washers/etc. I rigged because I didn't have shorter screws but will replace when I remember to buy some. Other than that the installation went well and I had the light up in about an hour. The instructions are nearly worthless except they do show a picture of how everything fits. There was no wording to speak of so you need to be able to figure it out from the picture. It looks great on the wall and I'm really enjoying the free space on my table.
I purchased two of these to go along with the OS mini-4-light chandelier for the master bedroom. The directions are not the best. The mounting screws are too long, so use a washer or two to compensate for the long machine screws. Use your own wall anchors, the ones that came with these would not hold. The swing arm is stiff, but a shot of WD40 took care of that problem. Before you do the final mount pull the electric cord through the metal cord covers and attach them, if you wait to do it as the instructions tell you, you'll never get the wire through when it's already mounted on the wall. That being said, over all they look lovely, once hung. I touched up the vining and leaves with some silver metallic paint so it would better match the mini chandelier. The take a max 60 watt bulb. That was too bright for the bedside area. 40 watt works fine and still offers enough to read by.
My husband had to add washers behind the screws that hold the lamp base against the wall because the screws were too long. The washers look dorky up close, but from a distance you cannot see them. From a distance these lamps look really nice. They just aren't. So if you are looking for something that looks nice enough, but aren't so concerned about quality... these are for you :)
This lamp arrived and I was pleased to see that it was exactly as pictured and of very good quality. Although it involved some assembly, my husband completed the job quickly and easily. The shade is beautiful and gives it a nice vintage look and the cord cover is an added feature that I really like. This lamp is exactly what I was looking for and I am extremely pleased with it!
This is a nice lamp that looks great once installed. The installation is the tricky part. Some of the hardware with it doesn't fit and the directions are awful. Takes a marginally handy person to hang but once it's once done--wow.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this product. Not perfectly to my taste but a great value and quite presentable. It does require a bit of effort to get the wire through the metal tubes and if you aren't handy or haven't done simple electrical work, you may have a problem putting the plug onto the end of the wire. The directions could be clearer, but I had not problems. They even provide a little tube of Locktite for the thread of the tubes.
My husband had two of these up within an hour and he's not an electrician. Initially when I took them out of the carton I was dismayed by the amount of black tone on the bronze finish but this color was not apparent once the lamps were mounted. Nice and sturdy lamp with a beautiful shade that is exactly as shown in the picture.
