As others have said this is a sturdy and elegant looking stand. Unfortunately the umbrella pole is too large for the cap holder so it tends to wave around a bit. I too will have to purchase a rubber gasket to keep the umbrella pole from moving. Other than that I think it's an excellent buy.

Very solid, heavy cast iron umbrella stand. Beautiful design and great value for the money. It supports my tilted 11 foot umbrella with no tip or movement at all. I am very happy with this purchase. Be advised though that stand is very heavy and hard to move around patio to different spots. So I just leave it in one place. Overall, I would definitely recommend this stand. In the past I have bought stands that are too lightweight and easy to tip - not the case here.

Heavy and durable base. I really like the look of the base. The only thing is the umbrella is not sturdy in the base so the umbrella moves around when it's windy and leans a little
