I was here visiting overstock.com this evening to look at some lighting and happened to see this ceiling fan.. we purchased two of these exact fans from another online retailer back in the fall (Overstock was not carrying this fan at the time). The brand is Monte Carlo... model is the Ornate Elite. Ours are Roman Bronze in color. I want to say that we LOVE these fans. They are whisper quiet and installed nicely. I'm chuckling a bit at the previous review where it's stated that a contractor had some difficulty with installation. My husband is NOT a contractor or electrician. And he's no desire to become one! He had these fans up in no time at all. Our New England home was built in 1900.. our ceilings are NOT level. That said, we expected some wobble. NOTHING! Very happy with these fans! They come with the pull chains too (one for the light and one for the fan). The photos do not show this. I had the online retailer call Monte Carlo direct to confirm this as we have a few rooms where the lights are not hardwired to the fan. Hope this review has helped!
How often do you shop at Overstock.com? Few times a year
My contractor said these were the worst made fans he had ever installed, it took more than 3 pieces to balance the blades on each fan and they still aren't 100%. I would not reccomend these fans and if it weren't for the fact it cost me $100 a fan to have them installed and I was not present when my contractor was finished, I would have packed them all and sent them back.
This fan is so much better, more detailed and special than the ones you get at the local hardware store...and less than most in price. I am so pleased.
