I had been looking for an inexpensive bidet for my toilet for a while and could only find what appeared to be poorly made or extremely ugly attachments that hooked onto your existing seat or conversely high end expensive seats with every bell and whistle (nice to have, but not in my personal budget this year). I came accross the brondell ecoseat from a blog post and read a few reviews, which were really positive so I thought I'd give it a shot.Pros:HIgh Quality Design - elegant full seat, not cheap or flimsy and not an attachmentHigh Value - great price in comparison for what you getPushbutton controls - really sweet!Easy Installation - my grandmother could do itCons: Not much, although it would be nice to have heated water on colder days. You get used to it quickly though and quite frankly there is no going back to TP again. It would also be great to get this priced under $200 bucks - maybe on sale sometime, but the cheaper products out there look cheap. You get what you pay for.Overall I highly recommend this and if you haven't experience it yet - washing with water is just a heck of a lot better than wiping with paper. Think about that one and maybe you'll convert too! Also, overstock is great - they ship quick and actually answer product questions in a timely manner. You also know you are always getting the best price - keep it up Overstock!
This item proved to be easy for me to install, in about an hour. I did have to purchase a new flexible supply line. I have a round seat and this seat seems much smaller than my old standard seat, if you need the space this may not be a good choice for you. I would think the oval size seat would not have this problem. A very large person may have difficulty reaching the control buttons on the side. The on/off buttons do have a raised dot over the switch and one does not have to read the functions of the other buttons more than once or twice to operate the sprays, a guest user may not know what to do. The battery power works fine. This type of device really can be made without any power a simple valve would work as well, I hope they come out with this as a lower cost option on a future model. I would buy Swash for my other toilets, but at over $230 it is hard to feel the savings from less paper purchased to make this seem anything beyond a vanity purchase. The concept is excellent why would you not want to use a strong stream of water to clean any body part. Once you use this type of wash you will like it, the Swash aim is right on and it is easy to use and yes it saves on paper.
This is an excellent deal! It was easy to hook up and works well. I may buy another one and if I do, I will be tempted to splurge for the model that features warm water and a warm air dryer. This model is the basic and for what it is, it can't be beat. The spray nozzle hits the bull's eye every time!
we love this seat.. I ordered 2 more for each bathroom. My husband laughed at me when I ordered it and then after using it he said please order one for each bath. We had our master bath wired and plumbed for the higher end models but I wanted to try one first at our kitchen showroom. It is quite adequate. We didn't order one for the hall bath as it does look a bit geriatric..But the other 2 baths hide the toilet behind a divider wall. The water is cool and maybe up north it might be a bit of a chill. Here in Florida the water stays warmer. It doesn't have a dryer but I would not sit long enough to dry. Think of the hand dryers in public restrooms. It takes just a few sheets of paper to dry. It washes you thoroughly and I am sure anyone that buys one would love it.
I cant tell you how long I've been wanting something like this and when I got it, the product was amazing. It is a little pricey, but I love the quality and the way it works. I order the elongated seat, but it looks like a regular seat.. not sure if that's the way its supposed to be after accounting for the electronics in the back of the seat. Installation is very simple and takes 5 minutes. You might need an additional wrench apart from what is provided and might want to get some plumbers tape as well.
...but refreshing! My husband did not seem to have too much trouble installing although he did have to obtain a longer supply line. We have an unusual toilet, so not sure this would be a problem for everyone. Does not ( as advertised) prevent use of toilet paper but does decrease it and I feel it is truly more hygienic. Overall, a good product at a very good price.
I am surprized --- how well this thing works ---- hooked up real easy ----took about 20 minutes ---- toilet paper use has went down --- wish it came in other colors --white just does not work ---- but i'm living with it --- over all I love it ----
Work`s great, easy to hook-up,I show it off to all my friends.Excellent experience.
Very, very good product, beats TP by miles. Once you use this product you will not want to use a regular toilet.PROS: - Much, much cleaner than TP - Very nice-looking product - Totally automated functionality, auto-shutoff, etcCONS: - Wish I bought the warm-water version for colder days (but this is not too bad, got used to it). Besides, the warm water version is another $200 (sort of expensive) and installing the warm-water version would have required an electrician (for an additional plug). - Installation actually took more time than expected (this was mainly due to my toilet having hoses and tank installed a bit too close (had to loosen the tank to connect the hose... remember that if you have problems installing) .All told... a GREAT PRODUCT!
