I can't believe I've lived without a Swash for so long! My wife and I really love this toilet seat. I first used an automatic toilet seat at a friend's house, and after getting over the novelty of it, determined to find the best one on the market. The Brondell Swash 700 is awesome - we couldn't be happier with the product overall. If your debating whether this is a luxury purchase (i.e. d you really need it?), the answer is YES. First, its way more hygienic than just using toilet paper. Every time I leave the bathroom, I feel like I just stepped out of the shower. Also, no more pain from excessive wiping - that's more than a luxury after a bit too much Italian or Mexican food - its a necessity. Second, the heated seat pleases my wife to no end. Our bathroom gets chilly in the fall & winter - with the heated seat, she no longer winces when her "delicates" touch down on the warm comfort of our Swash. As for quality, I have absolutely no complaints. The Swash is sturdy (feels solid all around), and its got a pretty thin footprint. I thought it would be much bulkier, but it really fits beautifully on our existing toilet. Our bathroom is fairly small, but the seat blends in well and doesn't seem out of place. Also, the remote control is cool - you certainly don't need to use it from across the room, but it allows you to mount the controls in a place that's easy to reach and view. I think some models have the controls mounted on the side of the seat, but I like having them at eye level when seated.Installation is pretty straight forward and you really don't need any professional help. The directions are straight forward, and I installed it in about 20 minutes. If you're not handy at all, and you think you need to hire a plumber, hire the cheapest one you can get - cause this is super simple. The only downside is that my neighbors think the Swash is so cool, that they all stop by to use our toilet. I may start charging. (kidding of course).winter - with the heated seat, she no longer winces when her
