I bought the headboard and bed for my 9 year old. It looks great and he loves it! You do have to make sure the drawer screws are screwed in VERY tight or the drawers will not fit in the frame.

You get what you pay for. The headboard looks very nice and is very useful, but the finish is not a stain or a paint. It is instead an extremely thin layer of a paper-like material that is very easily damaged. Also watch out when you assamble it. We pushed too hard on one of the pegs that attach the top and it went right through.

The Broadway Black Twin-size Headboard was a great purchase for the price and relatively easy to assemble, especially the way each step was broken out with the time it would take to complete. The headboard is sturdy, the design is really good, and it's perfect for a nine year old boy but...and this is my only complaint...the description made no mention at the time of the fact that this is a free-standing headboard that doesn't in any way bolt to the bed frame. Would I buy it again? Yes. In fact, we're looking at other pieces in the set right now!

Purchased this headboard for my 7 year old son. I wanted to "test" the quality of the headboard before ordering the storage bed with drawers by the same company. It was very easy to assemble, and I was surprised how sturdy it is considering the price. I will definitely order the storage bed to go with this headboard.

I coupled this headboard with the platform bed (with drawers) and it's perfect for my 3 y/o son! He puts his favorite "lovies" in the headboard and has access to them whenever he feels the need for some reassurance! :D Fast delivery and easy set up.

Headboard was as advertised. It took me 1 hour to put it together - the instructions were well written and easy to follow. I would not put it in a young, exuberant child's bedroom, but for a teenager or second bedroom it is very nice.

The headboards are great! I wanted to complete a guest room and the headboards worked perfectly. Plenty of room for guests to keep glasses, books, or stuffed animals. :) My husband put two headboards together in about one hour. We are completely happy with the product.

We purchased this item for our son's room. Very easy to put together and looks nice. Avoids the need for having night stands. The only complaint we have is where a couple of the pieces meet, the non black areas can be seen, would have been better if the manufacturer made all edges black so the seams would be less visible. Overall great value for the price

I ordered this for my son age 14. He assembled it easily. It is sturdy and looks and feels much like real wood. Not cheap laminate like some others I've seen. I would recommend this to friends or family without reservation.

We bought 2 for our boys. They love them and it looks great with the bed. The only problem we had was a nick in the top which we will order the piece to replace it. No problems. We love it!!!

first time broke upon assembly because of bad directions and lack of strength, got a new one though, much better, looks nice but still not very strudy.

This was only one of the pieces bought out of this Georgetown Collection and I am very happy with all of the pieces. It is heavy furniture, not just light particle board type stuff. The detailing is nice. No problems putting it together. I haven't shopped with Overstock often, but the few times I have I was very impressed with the quickness of shipping(even during the holidays) and the quick email confirmations, accuracy of orders, etc. I highly recommend the furniture and Overstock.

I have a extra-long Tempur-Pedic bed (mattress and boxspring) which only had a metal frame with casters when I bought it. For a long time I searched for an extra-long platform bed in stores and online, but in vain. So, when I saw this headboard during my online search, I realized an important part of the solution I needed was available for a very good price. Once I received the headboard, which was expertly packed to prevent damage in shipment, I was motivated to build a black platform bed which tucks neatly up against this free-standing, great looking Broadway black headboard. The headboard make the bed look richer and adds a touch of class to the entire bedroom; the shelving is really handy, as well. I feel I got a great deal from Overstock. com. My only concern was that the manufacturer, like most who make furniture requiring at least some assembly by consumers, didn't provide very good directions.

We ordered 4 of these headboards for our youngest sons so their beds would all match. They look totally cool and the kids love them! My husband wasn't very excited about building 4 of them but once he did the first one, the rest were fairly easy! They look great and I am so pleased with the turnout. I couldn't believe shipping for this entire order was nearly nothing!! Those boxes were heavy!!! Thanks to Overstock for offering such a great product at such a great price!!!

Liked it alot for a basic look for my 5 yr old son. Thought it was a little overpriced.

This headboard is perfect for a small bedroom. It offers good shelf space for books, a clock, reading light or other small items. It was not difficult to assemble. My only complaint would be that there was some damage during shipping with one of the corners lifting up and a ding in one of the boards. For the price I think it is a good value and it works well in my son's bedroom.
