Perfect for a mud room to get shoes up off the floor and easy to assembleRead More
I have spent so much money on shoe holders. I've tried over the door, they just weren't right. I tried free standing trees. They weren't right. I've tried the shelves, they weren't right. Mostly the problem was that they weren't long enough, neat enough or hold enough. Also, I tend to wear predominantly black shoes. It doesn't help me to only see the back of the shoe because I couldn't tell which shoe it was often. Then I saw this. I was concerned at first because of size, but truly, it is lovely in my home, acts as a piece of furniture for my shoes, and I can place both shoes, side by side, in one slot, allowing me to hold my whole season's worth of shoes for me to easily view. I change out with the season, and put the past season away. I am truly happy I made this purchase and my search for the right shoe holder is over.Read More
I was very pleased with the quality of this product. It is sturdy, was fairly easy to put together and looks very nice.Read More
I had tried two other shoe cabinets to no avail. They swayed to one side, fell apart. This cabinet is stable and well grounded. I have already filled it with shoes. It is also a good looking piece of furniture.Read More
This piece is great for storing a lot of shoes. I frequently entertain large groups, and this shoe cabinet provides the needed storage for my guest's' shoes. It also looks great and is easy to assemble. At first, I thought that some of my husband's shoes were too large to fit in the slots. I was mistaken. Simply turn one shoe sideways and the pair fits perfectly. The only downside is that the cabinet is quite heavy.Read More

I needed a nicely designed shoe cabinet to fit in my closet. I had difficulty finding a decent one but I think this will suit my needs. I just don't want to put it together. And, the reviews seemed to be decent.

To choose the best one for your living room, keep these tips in mind while you're shopping.
How to Organize Your DVDs
Many people love to collect favorite movies, programs and television shows on DVDs, whether it's a collection of classics, documentaries, children's movies or everything in between. Most people cherish their collection of DVDs, but you might not know it from the messy pile those DVDs make when shoved into a box or crammed haphazardly onto a shelf. If you've ever spent almost as much time searching for a movie as you have watching it, then it's probably time for you to organize your DVDs. Some attractive media bookshelves can be a great place to start.
Best Bookshelf Materials
It's not unusual for bookshelves to incorporate multiple materials for different features. If you haven't decided on wood, wood products, metal or glass bookshelves, look at their relative strengths and weaknesses. Look below to learn the best bookshelf materials. Wood: "Solid wood" is a common term for furniture made from lumber planks. Beware of making assumptions based on labels like "hardwood" and "softwood." Hardwoods are derived from deciduous trees and softwoods from coniferous trees; the terms don't connote their relative strengths. Balsa is a hardwood even though it is very soft, just as Douglas fir is a softwood even though it is very hard. They all make excellent, classic stock material for bookcases. Generally, harder woods are the heavier and more resistant to scratches. Still, softer woods, if treated correctly, will keep just as well as harder woods. Plywood: Made by stacking thin sheets -- "plies" -- of lumber and gluing them under pressure, plywood features grains that alternate direction for strength. Several grades are available, of differing cost. Top and bottom plies can be high-quality woods to create the appearance of fine woods, but edge veneer or molding is needed to complete the illusion. Particleboard: Wood chips glued together carry a much lower price tag than solid wood, and particleboard is denser and more uniform. It's a great choice when cost is the primary consideration. Bookshelves crafted from veneered composite boards can look and feel as good as real wood. MDF: Wood fibers, tiny chips and sawdust collected and glued into sheets form medium-density fiberboard (MDF). Low-cost MDF makes an excellent base for veneers; plus, its strength is consistent and it shapes well. Metal: There's a reason most library bookshelves are made from metal: Metal bookcases are resistant to moisture and fungus, their low-friction shelves are easier on books' bindings and metal's strength-to-weight ratio can't be beat. Their cost usually comes in below any other material. Glass: Glass bookshelves weigh more than other types, but if you plan on assembling your bookshelves only once, the style points can be well worth it. Tempered glass shelves (in wood or metal uprights, called "standards") give your home an unbeatable contemporary feel, and glass bookcases' smooth, transparent surfaces add brilliant levity to a decorating piece that might otherwise be notably opaque and heavy.
