Easy to assemble. However, cheap pressed wood stabilizer broke too easily. Works good for now.Read More
I did not know exactly what to expect when ordering this unit due to the low price. But the reviews were good, so I went for it. I'm so glad that I did. It arrived very timely and packaged very well. The directions are clear and SO easy I was able to do it myself in less than an hour. The result is awesome. It is so pretty you would never know it was this inexpensive, or that I put it together myself! I highly recommend this if you want a great looking stand and you are on a budget (or NOT). It's beautiful, and I am very pleased.Read More
Sooo easy to put together - I am not very handy and it took me less than an hour! It is sturdy and beautiful and I could not be more pleased with my purchase.Read More
Great product. When I opened the box I was overwhelmed at all the pieces. Having done this kind of assembly before, I learned to read the instructions thoroughly a couple of times. I started assembling it and I was done in 45 minutes. It is beautiful, sturdy and strong enought to hold my 40" Plama TV. Than you for providing such a well engineered product.Read More
Nice piece of furniture , looks great with my televisionRead More
I wanted a console that didn't compete with other furniture...more like an extension of the television. This product is perfect in that regard. It has a sleek style and is very sturdy. The reason I didn't rate it excellent was because one of the parts was broken. I noticed similar comments from other raters, so the packaging must not be adequate. But luckily my boyfriend is handy and has able to fix the part with glue and screws since it isn't a visible piece. Once put together I love it.Read More
After reading all the other reviews, I thought for the price, it was worth the chance. Delivery was very quick (5 days as promised) and it took my son less than an hour to put together. There was a 'ding' on the edge of the top panel which I think happened through shipping...easily hidden with the marker that was included. Fits the 46" flat screen perfectly with plenty of room for the surround sound speakers, cable box and DVD player. So pleased with the appearance that I purchased the 'corner' piece which will allow me to get rid of the existing unit holding the receiver and cd player. Should look great once they're put side to sideRead More
Mostly I am very happy with this TV stand. The reviews about the packing were correct. Basically they just throw the wood slats in a box and ship it. There was no padding and no protection. I had a big gash on the top of the TV stand. It sucked it had to be on the top, but luckily it was in the back. With the touch up marker and my TV you cannot see that anything happened to it. The TV stand is very heavy and good quality and it gives my room a very nice look. I have a 47" flat screen and it fit perfectly on this stand. The one thing I am disappointed in is the depth of the shelves. My DVR cable box does not fit and has to hang over the edge a little bit and it bugs. Overall you get what you pay for. For the price of this you get more than your monies worth as it is a lot nicer stand than I have seen for ***. I wanted to spend as little as possible. and for this price the TV stand does a great job for what it costs, it's a quality product and does not look cheap. It could be bigger and they could protect it when shipping.Read More
I have been long looking for an entertainment center that was basic, well-priced and would fit well in my living room. This console is wonderful. It arrived in perfect condition and the color and style are represented well on the website. Putting this together was not that hard at all, it took me a little over an hour. (and while I have put basic furniture together before I am FAR from handy). The back part of the console is the only piece that is somewhat flimsy but this is an unbelievable value. I have not seen (and I shop a lot - in stores and online) a better piece for this price. I had some doubts it would arrive broken but I went ahead and ordered anyway because it was a perfect size for my living room. I am so glad I did.Read More
It looks great in our living room on our 55in TV. Has holes in the back panel for cable management. Overall useful and good looking but it's made of particle board so be warned.Read More

I just bought a 55 inch flat screen TV - is this unit too small for this TV size?
Thank you for your question led513. The Broadway Black Plasma/LCD TV Console can hold a flat panel plasma/lcd t.v. up to 150 pounds. Have a great day.
I have a 50 inch tv on this piece and mine has a few inches leeway on the sides- if i were to line it up with the edges. I think a 55 would be just as wide as this piece. It would fit- just depends on how you want it to look, If you want the piece to look wider than your tv this might be a bit too small.
no, it was a good one for a size 55 tv
I ve a Samsung UN55F8000 - This table exactly fits the TV. No room on either side
I find it a little too small for my 55in tv
I have a 55 inch Samsung on it looks great lines up prefectly
It's stated that the top compartment is 21.25" wide, however that is also the width of each bottom compartment. Is this an error? Based on the overall width of 48" it would appear to be incorrect.
Yes, im sorry the top would be about 45 inches wide.
Is this stand fully assembled?
It does not assembly is required
My very handy son took 2 hours to put this together.
How soon can it ship?

LCD TVs vs Plasma TVs
Flat-screen TVs seem to be everywhere. For you, the choice may seem like a toss-up between plasma TVs and LCD TVs. These competing technologies each have advantages, so it's important to consider your specific needs before purchasing a flat-screen TV. If you are highly knowledgeable, you may want to consider the more technical specifications of LCD and plasma TVs. This is a fast-moving technology, so the advantages of each technology may soon even out with one another. Until then, here are some facts that may help you with the choice between plasma and LCD TV technology. Price differences. While price is important, it doesn't tell the whole story when comparing LCD and plasma. In the past, plasma TVs were slightly less expensive than LCD TVs of the same size, and the price differential became greater as the size of the television increased. The gap in price has narrowed between flat-screen technologies, though. Price is probably the least important factor, especially since you can find good deals on both plasma TVs and LCD TVs. Use. How you use your TV matters. Plasma TV screens are prone to "burn-in," a problem in which still or static images can be more or less permanently imprinted on the screen. This is of particular concern if you play video games, which tend to display static images for long periods of time in the same location on the screen. Fortunately, newer plasma TVs are less vulnerable to burn-in. If you plan to use your flat-screen TV for video games or other static images, LCD TVs may be a better choice. Environmental considerations. LCD TVs use an average of one-third to one-half as much energy as a plasma TV of the same size. The difference comes from the different lighting technologies. If you are concerned about your energy consumption, LCD is a greener choice. As technology improves, plasma TVs may improve their energy consumption. Lifespan. When early models of LCD TVs and plasma TVs were compared, LCD had the longer lifespan. But plasma technology has improved, and plasmas now boast a lifespan equal to LCDs. Most flat-screen TVs claim around a 60,000-hour lifespan. Depending on your usage, this means your flat-screen TV should last 20 years or more. The only parts of an LCD TV that wear out are the bulbs that illuminate the LCD screen. On a plasma TV, the bulbs will also go out before the screen does. Size and weight. LCD TVs are typically much lighter and less bulky than plasma TVs of the same size. Plasma TVs use glass for their screens, which is heavier and more fragile than the plastic used for LCD TVs. When mounting a large flat-screen TV on a wall, use a flat-screen TV mount and be sure that the wall can support your TV's weight. Picture. Both LCD TVs and plasma TVs produce amazing high-definition picture quality. Plasma TVs typically display blacks more clearly and show crisper detail during fast-moving programming, like sporting events. LCD TV technology is catching up, though, and LCD TVS usually offer greater native screen resolution than plasma TVs. This means more pixels per square inch, for a sharper overall picture. LCD TVs can lose picture quality when viewed at an angle. Some models do better than others on this, so be sure to do your research on any LCD TV's viewing angles. Entertainment Center Buying Guide
While your television set may be the focal point of your home entertainment activities, what it sits on -- or in -- says a lot about who you are. Is your TV still sitting atop that beaten up particle board TV stand that you bought at a garage sale 10 years ago? Perhaps it's time to upgrade your living room furniture, starting with a new entertainment center. Home entertainment centers have been around a long time and have evolved quite a bit from the massive wooden cabinets of the 1960s and 1970s. Which entertainment center is right for you will depend on what you want to use it for, the components you want it to store and your personal taste in furniture.
TV Stand Buying Guide
Lately, television consoles, stands and storage racks have been exhibiting updated designs, sporting storage for your media essentials in models that are tastefully coordinated to the rest of your living room furniture. Compact TV stands and corner TV stands are convenient in smaller apartments, dorm rooms and offices, but even large homes can benefit from the clean look and discreet presence of a television stand. As more people upgrade to lean flat-panel televisions, they are seeing that the smaller size of a TV stand is all they need. The furniture industry usually reserves the term "entertainment center" for the largest TV furniture, big enough for the television, a cadre of audio or video components and a full CD-DVD collection. TV stands tend to be smaller than full entertainment centers while still having enough shelves for a few components and some media storage. For smaller homes or for smaller rooms in larger homes a stand may be all the TV furniture you need.
