I wanted a console that didn't compete with other furniture...more like an extension of the television. This product is perfect in that regard. It has a sleek style and is very sturdy. The reason I didn't rate it excellent was because one of the parts was broken. I noticed similar comments from other raters, so the packaging must not be adequate. But luckily my boyfriend is handy and has able to fix the part with glue and screws since it isn't a visible piece. Once put together I love it.

After reading all the other reviews, I thought for the price, it was worth the chance. Delivery was very quick (5 days as promised) and it took my son less than an hour to put together. There was a 'ding' on the edge of the top panel which I think happened through shipping...easily hidden with the marker that was included. Fits the 46" flat screen perfectly with plenty of room for the surround sound speakers, cable box and DVD player. So pleased with the appearance that I purchased the 'corner' piece which will allow me to get rid of the existing unit holding the receiver and cd player. Should look great once they're put side to side

Mostly I am very happy with this TV stand. The reviews about the packing were correct. Basically they just throw the wood slats in a box and ship it. There was no padding and no protection. I had a big gash on the top of the TV stand. It sucked it had to be on the top, but luckily it was in the back. With the touch up marker and my TV you cannot see that anything happened to it. The TV stand is very heavy and good quality and it gives my room a very nice look. I have a 47" flat screen and it fit perfectly on this stand. The one thing I am disappointed in is the depth of the shelves. My DVR cable box does not fit and has to hang over the edge a little bit and it bugs. Overall you get what you pay for. For the price of this you get more than your monies worth as it is a lot nicer stand than I have seen for ***. I wanted to spend as little as possible. and for this price the TV stand does a great job for what it costs, it's a quality product and does not look cheap. It could be bigger and they could protect it when shipping.

It looks great in our living room on our 55in TV. Has holes in the back panel for cable management. Overall useful and good looking but it's made of particle board so be warned.

If you buy this product, you won't be sorry. It was simple to put together. I did it alone in about an hour. And the results...a nice piece of furniture. I would definitely recommend this console!

I have been long looking for an entertainment center that was basic, well-priced and would fit well in my living room. This console is wonderful. It arrived in perfect condition and the color and style are represented well on the website. Putting this together was not that hard at all, it took me a little over an hour. (and while I have put basic furniture together before I am FAR from handy). The back part of the console is the only piece that is somewhat flimsy but this is an unbelievable value. I have not seen (and I shop a lot - in stores and online) a better piece for this price. I had some doubts it would arrive broken but I went ahead and ordered anyway because it was a perfect size for my living room. I am so glad I did.

This product is exactly what I wanted and it was the color that I expected. For two females it took longer than we thought but it was ok.Seems to be very sturdy. The TV fit good. I thought the price was good compared to those we had looked at. We are very satisfied.

Unfortunately the product came broken ( which is the first time this has ever happened with Overstock) BUT customer service at Overstock was EXCELLENT. They made it very simple to return and my acct was credited immediately. I understand things like this happen and will in no way keep me from shopping on Overstock!!!!

I would not recommend this product. Although the console does do the job, the quality is poor. The back panel feels like cardboard and is made up of two sheets held together with tape. One piece arrived broken but I think this was just a one-off. I have not returned this item but I would not buy it again.

It took my husband and I an hour tops to put his together. The directions were easy to follow. It looks fabolous in the room and it also looks like we paid alot of money for it. We've gotten lots of compliments, already. Very pleased!

We are so pleased with the console. It looks great and two of us assembled it in about 1 hr. It was worth the labor because the price was so inexpensive.

I guess one can say two out of three ain't bad. Unless of course if two out of three things you bought from this site was broken. This one in particular was so badly packaged that a central component was smashed in half (with additional cracks). As I write this review, Overstock still has not even gotten back to me about the piece in question so I can't even build it. I BOUGHT THIS UNIT 3 WEEKS AGO!!!!!!! I will never purchase anything from this site again and I would suggest you do the same. You have been warned!

I do like my entertainment center and it was a breeze to assemble. The only problem I had was with the broken unfinished stabilizer board. Luckily my friend was able to cut me a new one and put it on for me.

perfect for what i wanted and expected. black paint veneer is super thin so it scratches very easily. you will need to use the touch up marker that they include. Be very careful. I used this in a receased cabinet so it works fine for my purpose, but if placed out in the open i am sure that it would not last long with kids and pets around. i would suggest a console with a real plastic or wood veneer which would probably cost more, but would definitely hold up longer.

It seems I should have paid more attention to all of the reviewers mentioning missing &/or broken parts, but I've always had success with my Overstock orders, so I didn't. The support piece was broken in half (not so supportive), but luckily it's somewhat hidden, so I was able to just duct tape the crap out of it. Unfortunately, it was not so easy to remedy the four missing twister dowels as they're not sold in stores, and I'm currently waiting for them to be shipped to me...from another country. I contacted the company first thing this past Monday morning, but the parts are still not expected to arrive until next Wednesday, which leaves me with a standless TV for another week (at least). Like I said, I've always had good luck with the things I've ordered from Overstock, but given all the similar bad reviews for this particular product, maybe they should rethink dealing with this partucular manufacturer.

Simple assembly (parts were aligned and had perfect fitted pieces). The black finish is high quality. A few minor bumps didn't create any color scratch offs so you know these are well-made. I particularly liked the wide open spaciousness of the console. I can set multiple AV devices, game consoles, stereo amplifier and still have a bit of room for accessories. The length is perfect for my 46" LCD tv. Ample space left on the top for my center speaker and 2 mini satellite speakers. Sleek, simple, and a great use of space.
