I bought two of these nightstands and they are great! Each one took 40-50 minutes for two people to put together but it is not too complicated. The drawers move smoothly in and out and it is a solid piece of furniture when put together.

For the price you can't beat these bedside tables. Assembly was fairly easy and the over all look is great! I did receive a broken piece but after a three minute online chat with customer service, the piece had been reordered and I received it the following week. This was my first Overstock.com purchase but based on my great experience I've already placed two more orders. I'm officially hooked!

I have been to many furniture stores looking for night stands. For the money I spent and the amount of time it took to put them together it was worth every cent. The first night stand took longer than the second because I reversed some of the parts (my fault). As mentioned in some of the other reviews, there where a lot of parts but they are necessary to give the furniture sturdyness.

Many people have complained about how long the nightstand took to assemble, it's really not that bad. As a female, I thought..."Oh great, I'll never get this together on my own!" Wrong, I broke the work up into two evenings and finished without frustration.I love the look of it, and it's perfect with my raised bed!

My father put the dressers together for me. He said even though he knows what he is doing it took him a long time because it comes in a ton of pieces. They turned out beautiful though and i love them.

Good value for the money. Only complaint is that it was a little time consuming to assemble. The instruction booklet contained one error which should state green twister dowel and not black.

I love this nightstand! The drawers are spacious, and the appearance is excellent. I found it relatively easy to assemble, considering it has 2 drawers. Very nice for the price!

I'll try to make this one quick. The pros: Overall, the quality is 'ok' as it's made from a heavy particle board and would probably be quite sturdy (if put together properly). The height is great for taller beds and the color is a basic black that went great with my décor of my current bed and dresser. But that's where the good news ends for me.The cons: I don't think the nightstands are worth the time effort it would take to put them together. I ended up returning them even before I put one of them together. THERE ARE TOO MANY PIECES! I have put together many pieces of furniture from boxes, so I didn't think this would be that difficult. My boyfriend and I were planning to make an evening out of it, but after a long day at work, it just took way more effort than I expected, even for two people.I spent over quite a bit of money (but less than i would have at furnture stores) for two nightstands that are probably the quality you would find at one of the pricer, big box stores. I can only recommend these nightstands if you truly have time and patience and don't mind the endless number of pieces. We barely got through the first two steps and after two days of seeing everything sprawled out on my living room floor I decided it wasn't worth it and I returned both of the nightstands. The return process was simple, but it cost me more money to return than it cost to receive the original shipment. I have now realized that the catch is making sure if you order large items, please be certain it's what you want because you will pay more to return the items.But overall, I still love Overstock and will continue to shop with them because of the quality and quantity of items from which to choose.

This nightstand is exactly what I was looking for because I have a high platform bed and I needed something to match the height. At first it seems like it will be hard to assemble because there is a lot of pieces but once you start it's easy. The directions are very precise, all the panels and everything you need to assemble it fit together perfectly. It's a solid sturdy piece. The only thing I can critique on is that a few days later one of the smaller bolts used to put the draw together I noticed popped out, inside the draw, but it didn't alter or make anything come undone. It's still sturdy and it could of also been me screwing that one bolt in wrong. Also, the open cubbie on top is a lot deeper and wider inside then I thought and although the entire nightstand is made out of those shiny black panels the back of it is nailed closed with a black thick cordboard piece. It's not bad at all, just make sure the back is facing a wall if you don't wan't others to see this.

In this case you really pay what you get for. Yes these night stands were cheap, yes I bought two of them, and yes, I wasn't the one who put them together (that's what my handy boyfriend is for!). But from witnessing him assemble them, the first one took him about 2 hours to do, and I've already noticed that the black paint wears off pretty quickly. But atleast they give you a marker to do touch ups!

I was looking everywhere for this height and features in a black nightstand to match my daughter's bed. The price seemed inexpensive so I decided to try it. It is a cheaper quality(particle board) and instructions were hard to understand. Thank goodness I have assembled many other furniture pieces so I could piece it together with alot of patience and time. I still ended up using the wrong screws somewhere and had to take apart. Overall., I hope it will hold up for 2-3 yrs and that should suffice. It does look good and is a good height to be next to a taller bed.

This small chest came in a million pieces. It took hours to put together. This piece could have easily been assembled and put in a box for shipping. If I had known that it was not assembled, I would not have paid that much for it, or even bought it. Also, the drawers do not open smoothly. There is a catch somewhere that I cannot figure out.

If it's true that you get what you pay for-I'd say your getting a good deal with these end tables. They are stylish and look great once assembled. The quality of the wood it's made with is not great but it's not flemsy either and doesn't seem like it will fall apart after being moved. We move alot. I think this item will last a while. It's design is perfect for the bedside area-you can easily access and conceal bedside items in the cubbie and the drawers. The drawers open and shut fine. I'd give the actual quality of this peice a 75 out of 100. But as far as appearance goes it gets a 100. BUT-if your not great at assembly or impatient forget this-or get someone else to assemble it for you. My hubbie is awesome at putting stuff together and it took him a solid 3hrs and 30 mins to do one end table. I love them now that they're all put together! They look great next to my bed and my bed is kindof high too because of our huge mattress but they're tall enough!

The directions for this nightstand have clearly been translated from the French and there are a few missed steps involved. The quality isn't even up to discount standards. I was disappointed with the final product once I had spent the better part of three hours assembling it. Others have said the stand is relatively high, but it isn't as high as the nightstand I bought it to replace. The pressed wood is cheap and easily scratched. I shop at Overstock on a regular basis, and I usually find its products of acceptable quality. This one's a no-go.

Night stand looks great. putting it together was a little difficult. The instructions are picture based only and some of the pictures can be a little confusing. over all it took me about an hour and a half to put it together and the draws slide smooth.
