This piece looks so cute on the website, but the quality is actually very poor. It is mainly made of particle board and mine arrived with chips on the painted surfaces - the particle board shows right through. The screws that hold the pieces together show on the outside of both sides. There are 6 screws showing on each side of the nightstand, which isn't clear from the photo. Turns out it would cost nearly 60$ to return it! All in all, a very disappointing purchase.

This nightstand was fairly easy to assemble -just time consuming. All the necessary parts were included and holes seemed to align fairly well. However, it is constructed of cheap particle board and I don't expect it to hold up very long. The matching chest is already (after just 2 weeks) giving us some problems. If you plan to use this in a spare room (just for looks), it would probably be ok. However, for everyday use you would be better off to go ahead and spend the extra money for a better quality construction.

The finished product looks nice, but the materials.. Yikes. Can anyone say pressed cardboard? You really do get what you pay for. When putting it together "slightly" pressing the dowles into the underside of the top board, it cracked the top of the nightstand and now it's a mess. (BTW There was no hammering, only hand pressing that did this.) If you are going to spend the money, spend a little more and get some real wood in your furniture.

I had originally wanted a 3-drawer nightstand as I have a tall bed that needed a tall stand, but opted for this model instead once I saw the dimensions. The drawers are a good depth and hold all that I need them to and more! One of the drawers sticks a little, but I'm not sure that's the case with each model or if perhaps there's a screw that wasn't tightened properly in self-assembly. Be careful to check that each piece is being attached as shown in the assembly diagrams as attention to detail is necessary. The top shelf has 2 holes that are supposed to be in the front of the unit, but were mistakenly put in the back, and once the black plastic "covers" have been snapped into the screws on the side, you may not be able to remove them again!

This nightstand is exactly what I was looking for because I have a high platform bed and I needed something to match the height. At first it seems like it will be hard to assemble because there is a lot of pieces but once you start it's easy. The directions are very precise, all the panels and everything you need to assemble it fit together perfectly. It's a solid sturdy piece. The only thing I can critique on is that a few days later one of the smaller bolts used to put the draw together I noticed popped out, inside the draw, but it didn't alter or make anything come undone. It's still sturdy and it could of also been me screwing that one bolt in wrong. Also, the open cubbie on top is a lot deeper and wider inside then I thought and although the entire nightstand is made out of those shiny black panels the back of it is nailed closed with a black thick cordboard piece. It's not bad at all, just make sure the back is facing a wall if you don't wan't others to see this.

we had bought the matching armoire a few weeks ago and realized it would be nice to have a matching end table finally. luckily this brand had one! it's perfect for an inexpensive bedroom "remodel". great price compared to what else is out there. everything else out there also seemed too frilly and inappropriately expensive. these clean lines make for really easy dusting! and the big drawers are really great for storage so you can hide the clutter and keep your bedroom looking neat and spartan.

Not so difficult to assemble. They look great...just as they do in the photo.

I should have went to Target and bought for less. They will serve the purpose BUT...I like how they added the black pen for who knows what, but yes it's needed to color areas that show the wood color.

I was looking for black nightstands. Not much available on overstock. Though comparing prices with the same quality stuff in the furniture store these were terrific all the way around. I spent half as much on them. The drawers have nice rollers on them, so they don't stick. I did spill a drink on one of them the first week I had them. I dried the entire things really well and had no damage that I can see ---which is what I was worried about given the light pieces in the drawers. Don't expect to put heavy things in them, but overall I would buy them again.

I really like these nightstands(I purchased two.) One of the drawers, the bottom is always sliding back, a little..I've used wood glue, but it sometimes comes undone and slides a bit. Otherwise, it's a decent purchase. I have no regrets about it.

I shopped around for awhile for new nightstands. And I am so glad I bought these! Yes, you do have to assemble. It was worth it though. These are very sturdy and tall, perfect for the height of our bed! Overstock did not disappoint.

Perfect for a high bed w box spring! Easy to assemble, drawers can be more sturdy, but it does its job. I am pleased with the overall look and functionality for its price.

This is typical inexpensive pressed wood/composite wood furniture, but I knew what I was getting, and that's fine.

I bought 2 of these nightstands (one for each side of the bed) and they look great in my bedroom with a matching black TV stand and black area rug. Assembly was easy and all the parts arrived in great condition. I accidently put some of the parts on backwards but it was easy to take off and reasseble correctly. I felt that the price was great for the quality of the product.

This is the first product I have bought from Overstock that was not up to there standards!!!

Item arrived well packaged, it had no scratches, dings or dents. Instructions were relatively easy to follow, it took my husband and I about 2 hours to put together and we didn't have any power tools (an electric screwdriver would've been sooooo helpful). Do bear in mind, there are a LOT of screws, bolts, nails, etc., so be extra mindful when sorting through them to ensure you are using the correct ones as you're putting this together. Once put together the nightstand looks really, REALLY nice. It has a smooth matte black-ish finish, no faux wood texture. The knobs have a modern brushed nickel finish, but since the nightstand has a clean design with classic features, you could easily change the hardware to give it a vintage-y look. In terms of overall size, the nightstand seems a bit larger (wider and taller) than we had estimated, although this worked well for us b/c we're using it for extra storage and not as an actual nightstand. In fact, we can't quite picture this piece as a nightstand next to anything but a King or Cal-King bed; next to our Queen bed it would just look oddly oversized. All in all, we love it and are extremely pleased with it.

this came quickly, there are quite a few parts but the instructions were straight forward and easy to read so the assembly was pretty easy but a bit time consuming. I was happy with it once done. the cubby serves my purpose to hold my lap top computer next to my bed. i am however going to get a glass top for it otherwise if the top gets wet it will ruin the finish as well as the composit wood. nice straight lines, goes well with my tv stand which is a cherry finish with a black top and some black lines in it.

The quality of this piece was not so good. My husband had no trouble putting one together. The second nightstand had a broken drawer piece. He called for a replacement but when the replacement came the screw holes did not match he had to order it again. It is ok for a childs room.

It was easy to put them together.I was happy with the quality of the night stands, I'm using them in a guest room. For the amount of money I paid for them they are wonderful. The marker for touch ups is a great idea.
