Why did you choose this product?
These are great quality curtains, and they hang very well. I only ordered the curtains, not the valance. I washed them before hanging and really saw no significant shrinking, and I did not have to iron them before hanging. They look like similar items I have purchased from expensive retailers. I was very pleased with the purchase, and would recommend these curtains!...

The quality of this product was good, however, the color depicted was so off that it was not funny anymore...I mean how can one be so off describing a color? I ordered tan for my laundry room, but what I received was more like a dirty ashy mudd colored pair of drapery. The fabric was very stiff and scratchy. I had to send it back. This is one of the downfalls of buying on-line I guess. You can get a cat in a bag while you ordered a dog. Sorry, didn't work out for me.Read More

I bought the panel and valance in charcoal. The color is very rich and the fabric is very heavy and of good quality. They hang and flow very well. The backing is lighweight but provides good light diffusion and insulation. They look great and have a high end look and feel to them.Read More

How to Hang a Valance and Curtains
Hanging a valance and curtains over your window will add dimension, texture and style to any room. Window curtains with a valance give your window treatments a finished, designer look. If you want to block out light, a valance and full-length blackout panel curtain is your best choice. If you are more interested in decoration and only need to block minimal light, then a valance over sheer curtains is a good choice. It's important to measure the window and decide what type of curtains you want before you buy the curtain hardware. A cafe rod will be sufficient to support a sheer curtain, but you will need a stronger curtain rod to support heavier fabrics such as blackout panels. Also, the larger the window, the sturdier the curtain rod will need to be.
How to Choose Curtains and Drapes for Your Home
Picking out the best window coverings for your home may not be rocket science, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't put some consideration into what you choose. Instead of buying curtains based strictly on looks, think about the way you want the curtains to hang and the amount of privacy you want them to provide. Keep these tips in mind as you shop for new curtains or drapes.

Drapes, valances and curtains can be fitted for arched windows and coordinated with standard window treatments in the home.
How to Adjust Tension Rods
Curtains are a great way to accent the decor in every room in the house. Tension rods, also called spring rods, are curtain hardware which allow you to hang window curtains, wall curtains or shower curtains without installing curtain rod hardware on the walls. If an existing tension rod slips or if you want to change the curtain panels or add curtain rings, you may need to remove and adjust the rod before putting it back in place. Tension rods are positioned between two facing surfaces, such as the interior frame of a window or the opposing sides of a shower cubicle.
