Eh...
The mechanism for the filter basket leaves much to be desired. Does not detach for cleaning, and does not close or open properly. Since basket is skewed strangely carafe doesn't fit in properly either. Re-usable filter lets in too many coffee grounds. The only good thing about this coffeemaker is that it has an automatic shutoff (which is why I bought it). Didn't think it would be that poorly made for the price! This thing is not worth more than $.

MY HUSBAND LOVES IT
My husband usually buys cheap pots from discount stores - I bought this one for him and he made a pot with it right away - Than he threw out his old one - He really likes this Nrentwood and the price was well worth it -
