Brentwood Appliances 4-portion Arepa Maker

I have used other machines in the past on my trips to Venezuela (where Arepas are a staple). And this is how this machine compares. Construction and Looks: The body is made of metal. It's very plain. And there is a little sticker (that is crooked) that says Brentwood on it. It looks like someone printed it with their computer and stuck it on. The legs are made of plastic. The teflon coating on the inside does not look like it will last very long and is not totally smooth. Function: Did it make arepas? Yes. But I did not like the shape of the arepas when they came out. They should have made the molds to make arepas that are thinner and wider, as most people know you scrape out the insides of the arepa and only eat the shell. It's obvious that the person who designed this machine has never eaten arepas before! So it's just ok. It will make arepas, but it's not the best machine out there. However, I will keep using it when I'm in a hurry for a quick lunch or dinner. And it's about right for what I payed.
