Upon opening:
Your Bowron sheepskin may have been tightly packaged and the wool may appear flattened. Wool fibers are resilient and will bounce back to their original springy appearance. A vigorous shake will help restore the soft, fluffy appearance of the wool.
Care instructions:
Machine or hand wash in warm water using a mild liquid detergent
Spin to remove excess water
Dry flat or on a line and stretch to shape while damp
Do not iron or bleach
After washing, wool may revert back to its natural curly state. You can help restore the fluffy appearance by brushing the wool while it is wet and again when it is dry. I just received this rug today--- it is beautiful! The color is a creamy white and consistent throughout. I also ordered a rug pad for underneath (as suggested by my O rep), but it is still in route. My only concern now is whether my little scottie dog will want to 'mark' his territory -- he was as excited as me when I pulled the rug out of the box... wish me luck! :-)
This rug is absolutely amazing!!!! It is plush and oh so very comfortable. Placed it front of gas logs and lay on it every night now that the weather has turned cooler.
This is a very nice rug. The picture doesn't do it justice. It was a perfect addition to our master bedroom in front of our fireplace. Very soft and luxurious.
