I wouldn't call it a cereal bowl. More like a serving bowl excellent to serve out of.

These bowls are huge, maybe too large. Like the style and weight. You could use them as serving bowls as well as soup bowls. Only gave four stars because they are extremely large.

Awesome set of soup bowl and big enough to use as serving bowls. I can't wait to use them.

This bowl is amazing!!!! The colors are breath taking!!! The hand work is beautiful. There are several pieces and I have ordered many. Everyone has been exciting. Just waiting for the next piece, knowing it will be awesome. I highly recommend these pieces. This bowl is a good size for serving. You will not be disappointed. The bowl I'd wonderful. Fantastic bowls for both soup, chili, salad for two, dessert or to serve vegetables. Nice and heavy without being too heavy. Use them almost daily.

While described as soup and cereal bowls, we purchased these (and the matching serving bowl) primarily for pasta. They work well, and the large size would accomodate stews or other one dish meals. The color and pattern go well w/our Southwest decor; they're bright and bold. Have cleaned up real nicely in the dishwasher and they seem as if they will be durable.

The bowls that come with the Sango dishes were too large for everyday use for cereal or desserts....these smaller bowls are perfect for those uses. The larger bowls actually make great serving bowls for a small family.

First thing you should know is that these bowls are BIG. I was thinking soup bowl despite seeing the measurements, but it's really rather large for a soup bowl - my old ones were those standard shallow ones you find with dinnerware. These are great for salad, pasta, soup, stew or even serving small side dishes to the table. The finish is very good and they're exactly as advertised.

Been looking for a new set of bowls for serving stews/soups/pastas for a long time. After eyeing these for a few months I finally purchased them. They are just was I was hoping for. If anything, bigger than what I expected. The color palate is very pleasing. They look great on the table. I will be ordering another set to have a set of eight.

The bowls are in my opinion to big to be used as cereal bowls. I think it is a nice size for a stew or a soup with chunks of vegetables. They are nice and and worth the purchase. I think they would be great for side dishes. You probably could get 4 serving in one bowl

I got these bowls as a bit of an extra when I ordered the Sango Brown 40 piece set. These bowls are quite substantial, and really cute with the handle. I don't serve onion soup, but thought they'd be nice for chili this winter.

These are the most versatile bowls ever. If you want smaller sized bowls for servings (better for cutting back), they measure about a cup and a half of food. A great idea for ice cream, cereal, small soup. The entire bowl has a great pebbly texture and an uneven edge (intended) around the rim. They have interest but aren't too way out. I love the glossy fully glazed texture, too, even on the bottom. I have purchased the Red Vanilla Mugs, platters and little bowls to complement my basic white plates. They'd look great with colors, too.

Been looking awhile now for large soup bowls with handles, these are perfect! The design makes it easy to serve hot soup but have a strong handle that stays cool. They also microwave well and the bowl does not overheat like many dishes. I used these during Thanksgiving and received many compliments. I ordered two sets and love them!

Darling little brightly colored fruit bowls. Ordered the soup bowls too, but sent them back as they were almost serving bowl sized.

This is gorgeous china--perfect for both formal and informal occasions. The fruit bowls are a little smaller than ideal, but useful for very small servings.

The bowls arrived well packed and in good shape. They are very attractive and I have been complimented on my choice. They may be a little big for some folks but that is what I was looking for. The handles are a great feature that makes it easy to enjoy whatever is served in the bowl. They are easy to clean

These go well with some Pfaltzgraff "Country Cupboard" dishes I have. They are a slightly darker shade of ivory, but not significantly so. They are deep enough to serve soup, pasta, big salads, or cereal.

Larger than I thought, they can be used as serving bowls, or soup bowls. They are too large for morning cereal.

The set arrived in tack and a perfect match. I'm really pleased with the size of the bowls. The serving bowl is perfect for 4 adults and the pasta bowls are the perfect size and shape. Don't know how I every lived without pasta bowls.
