Boston Medium Oak Finish Queen Armless Futon Set

This is a nice, solid futon. When assembling it, some of the pieces didn't seem to fit together real well at first, but with some "persuading" I got it all together myself. All the pieces were there except one washer (the plastic bag they came it had been torn by one of the metal pieces and it probably fell out), and one hole in the metal frame was not bored correctly so a screw wouldn't fit. The mattress is really heavy so it takes 2 people to move it around, but also makes it good for sleeping. We have guests right now and gave them our bedroom so we have been sleeping on the futon for a week. VERY comfortable and a true queen size that two people sleep on comfortably. The fold-unfold mechanism was quite "stiff" at first but is improving with use. For use as a sofa, the seat is quite low. The delivery was really fast -- all the boxes came within a few days of ordering. I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it.

My first purchase from overstock, also buying something without seeing it. GREAT PURCHASE + FREE SHIPPING! Solid Construction, and great quality. Easy to assemble. I didn't expect much when purchasing this, but this product has surprised me on how solid it was built. Instructions could be better but it was not difficult to figure out.

Would be perfect for a young, light person and looks great! I have it as a guest bed in my office. My mother who is not small stayed on it for a few days and was comfortable enough but I had an egg crate, 3 comforters, and a pillow top cover on it. By the 3rd day she could feel the framework. My father and stepmother (both large people but still under the maximum capacity) will be visiting shortly and it will need reinforcements. It will need plywood between the frame and matress and 2x4 stablizers to hold the frame together. It also needs supports on each side when open or it will tip. It is definately going to be a project but when I'm finished I hope it will be a decent spare bed.

This futon was the most difficult item to put together I have ever encountered. My husband and I spent over five hours wrestling with this futon and ended up having to drill our own holes to get the screws to go into the frame. The holes did not match up with the hardware provided. The instructions were very unclear based on the supplies given. The pictures were so small that one could not use them for clarification. I was extremely disappointed in this futon. I felt that the price was very unfair for the inferior product I received. If I had not needed a bed right that weekend, I would have sent it back. We put furniture together often, so this is not our first challenge, but it was definitely the most frustrating experience we've had in fourteen years of marriage.
