Love It!

prnani32 from PA, Jan 15, 2010

I ordered this pitcher and a thinner, taller one (1qt) from Chefs catalog and have LOVED them. I especially liked this one because it holds more my thinner one. I was SO upset when the pitcher cracked because we used it all the time. Another user mentioned how perfect it was to put the entire can of frozen orange juice in it instead of waiting for it to melt and that it exactly what I would do. It's my fault the pitcher cracked. I think the pitcher was still warm from the dishwasher and then I put cold water into it. So I have no one to blame but myself. Anyway, Chefs is not carrying them anymore and I thought I wouldn't be able to find them. So happy I found them on Overstock. I am getting two pitchers this time. BTW, space wise these pitchers are SO efficient in the frig. They fit right in the door. They are very well made. Totally worth the money.

Love this. Just right for ice tea and the shape is perfect for the refrigerator.

Lovely Pitcher

This pitcher keeps my milk nice and cold. It is a nice heavy glass, and the lid seals easily though it took me a few tries to figure out how the lid works. You need to hold the lid's edges with one hand while turning its handle with the other. It would be nice if directions were included. The pitcher's handle is close to the body of the pitcher, which is fine for me, but I would caution someone with large hands. My husband's fingers barely fit behind the handle.

Glass pitcher

rummeljac from McKinney TX, Oct 28, 2009

I thought this pitcher was a little on the pricey side but I was looking for something with that shape and size. It is very durable. I was afraid the handle would be delicate but it is very sturdy. The top goes on just fine and just requires a little turn to loosen it. Otherwise it is a quick seal that keeps the contents fresh. As an added bonus, I love the wide mouth of this pitcher. I made some frozen orange juice and was able to stir the juice in the pitcher rather than wait for the juice to melt as I would for other containers. It fits nicely in my refrigerator, which is one of the new ones with the freezer on the bottom and side by side on top. If you have a firdge like this, you will quickly learn that you are short on space for taller items. This pitcher fits on the shorter shelves. This is also a pretty pitcher. I intend to buy another one.

Glass Pitchers

child2ofchick from Utah, Oct 21, 2009

I like the glass pitchers--especially like that they fit in the door of my frig and they have a tight seal. I am afraid that the rubber piece on the lid will wear out far sooner than the glass pitchers will, and wish they'd have included replacements for when that happens. And I think they were overpriced when compared to other glass pitchers.
