poor assemble
 from california,  Mar 18, 2012

First off company took a while to ship so expect at least 2weeks for delivery, when i opened the boxes they have a plastic piece at the bottom on shade and 2 of 3 were unglued. This is very annoying. the shades are nice not black out but very private the fabric attached to back gives more privacy. installation not too difficult direction aren't very good if you're not too handy.

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? not a good picture to see details but color pretty accurate
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. well when i spend my money buying something new i dont expect to be pulling out my glue gun repairing something i just pulled out of the box, 2 out 3 shades unglued part.
  • How accurate was the on site description of the product? accurate

Nice shades and no cord!
from Torrance, CA,  Dec 6, 2011

I bought two of these shades to replace curtains in the bedroom. They look really nice, and I love how easy it is to raise/lower the shades just by grasping the bottom of the shade and pulling down or lifting. Since I have a young child, I'm happy not to have to worry about keeping a cord safely out of reach. I also really like that it has a thin fabric lining in the back - helps with privacy, and does help to darken a bit as well (though some light still comes through). I have other bamboo shades in the rest of the house that do not have the liner, and they can be very see-through. There is a wood frame piece that is glued to the bottom of the shade, and this is what gives the bottom of the shade structure and helps the shade to easily go up or down. The one problem we had was that with the wider shade, it arrived with the wooden frame piece separated from the blinds. Took a while to figure out what to do with it, since the instructions didn't address attaching it - and then I realized that it had come unglued from the shade itself, and wasn't supposed to be loose. It was an easy fix - used hot glue to reattach. Since this didn't end up being a real problem for us, I didn't deduct a star for that. The other blind was intact, with no problems.
