We had no trouble installing this product, (ceiling mount). The quality is excellent as is the finish. I hung 108" heavy blackout drapes and have not one concern about the product withstanding the weight; I am very pleased with the end result.
Its really hard to find a long enough curtain rod for our windows in our living room but this worked out perfect. The rod arrived quickly, with all its parts and was easy to install. The pewter finish matched our homes brushed nickel finishes well. The only problem with the set is that it only comes with one center support and for that long of a span it could of used two middle supports. The rod kinda dropped in the middle. My husband fixed this problem but installing the center support slightly higher that the two ends and with curtains on the rod its not noticeable.
I bought a lot of these curtain rods (seven) and they were excellent as they were strong and heavy for the long spans I needed and look great. No sag on my heavy curtains and easy to install. I would recommend buying stronger anchors than they send you (as I did) but that is a minor issue.
Amazing for the price.

How accurate was the on site description of the product? Accurate
This is a great rod, but the mounting hardware leaves something to be desired. The instructions say to use a 3/16 drill bit, but that was too snug for the plastic piecces that hold the screws, and the 1/4 bit seemed to be too big. I bought some other stuff from my local hardware store when the little plastic pieces broke when I was hammering them into the wall. Once I got better ones, it was a breeze.

Did the description onsite accurately describe the product? Yes
I am quite happy with the purchase of this rod. My only complain is that the setup instructions were misleading. It could have just been my particular set, but the instructions for installing the anchors (what you place the screws into) said to drill 3/16 of an inch holes. However, the anchors themselves were more like 3.5/16 of an inch, maybe 3.25/16 when fully compressed. They had no hope of fitting into a 3/16 inch hole. This resulted in a half hour of fancy drill work to get my holes all setup and properly aligned so they could actually hold the anchors. After that all was smooth. The rod itself looks super fancy and was pretty cheap.

This was a great pole with more than adequate weight to it. The brackets are nice and sturdy. It comes with 3 brackets which is needed for sure. I had to extend it the full 144", really taxing it. It's up and doing fine, but 4 brackets would have been perfect. But I wouldn't expect it to come with 4.
We extended the (black) rod to appx. 9.5 ft. at a height of appx. 9 ft. over a sliding glass door with a transom to hang two decorative panels. It looks surdy and well made. We were concerned that the black would appear too shiny, but it doesn't look shiny, at all.
The product is 86-144" listed on the box. I ordered this assuming it's a 2 pieces rod with the shortest being 90" and the longest at 144". I bought it intending to have a continuous rod at 90" without using the extension as I don't want to have the joint hindering curtain ring movement.
Not only it's 4" shorter than advertised, this product is actually compose of 3 rods! There is one long-ish center-rod, then you pull out 2 rods on each ends...(one longer than the other). This should have listed in the product description. I wouldn't have ordered it knowing it's composed of 3 rods.
These poles are perfect for the grommet style drapes I purchased. They extend to almost any width you might need, check the listing. They were very simple to hang and are very stylish with my drapes. They were the icing on the cake so to speak. It was a great purchase you can't go wrong with this one.
Hello curtains2014, the wall mounting brackets adjust from 3-1/2 inches to 5-1/2-inches projection from the wall. I hope this is helpful.

I am not sure of exact measurement but they leave more than enough room for the drapes to open and close without hanging up, on the wall behind the drapes. Hope that answer makes sense!jansu on Aug 23, 2014
I have a 86" window and planned to buy the 48"-86" rod. I also have a 145" window and planned on buying the 90"-144" rod. Are your measurements for the rod from ends of finials? Does the bracket reduce the span width?patswak on Aug 1, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
I have the 90-144 rod, and the most you can stretch it without it buckling is 134".firsttimeoverstockbuyer1 on Aug 2, 2014

I am looking for a rod for Solid Insulated Thermal Blackout Panel Pair (63-inch). I am purchasing 2 sets of 2 as the length of the windows are 135. Would this curtain rod be sturdy to hold the curtains and would the rod pocket fit the curtains? The curtains indicate it will work with rods up to 1.5 inches in diameter.glg513 on Jan 31, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
I have two sets 95" insulated thermal blackout curtains on these rods, and they hold up beautifully. They're the kind with grommets. My only complaint is they don't slide well. You sound like your curtains have a pocket, and I don't know how well they will slide given the thickness of the rod/size of the pocket. (I found a solution for the grommets not sliding well by googling 'teflon tape'. It's amazing--you apply this thin strip of tape to the top of the rod and the grommets now slide perfectly!allison011 on Feb 4, 2014
You could use clip rings. They look better, come in your size, and slide easier. Rod pocket curtains are better stationary .cna be found discounted at Ross, Tuesday morn and online.squeekee1 on Mar 3, 2014
