    • Far better than expected

Quality is top notch. Metal is heavy duty compared to other options. Adjustability is also a strong plus!!

    • Obsessed!

These are absolutely beautiful! I ordered the metallic gold and they look like the perfect antique brass/gold color I was going for. They are sturdy and gorgeous - I've already come back and placed two more orders since the original!

    • fix drafts, maybe

One problem is that the ends are quite large and if you must install them in a cramped amount of space you may find the ends bumping each other if you have adjoining windows. We have angled windows and that happened to us. Not a great result but a temporary fix for the winter. Another problem is that the mounts are too long so that the curtains do not touch the walls. Drafts can definitely come around the sides and top of the curtains. If the mounts were shorter, more air could be blocked. The sections of rod do slide together beautifully. One had a few minor scratches. If you like the bulkiness of the style and don't have to mount them right next to each other on more than one window, these are fine to get. We bought these in the long and short versions. Only one package had a defective screw which was mangled but otherwise all the hardware was in good shape.

    • Bold curtain rod

I bought these curtain rods for a large living room. The ends are a large 2" diameter, so you would want a larger sized room for this look. I also bought the longer curtain rod for my sliding glass window and without the middle support the rod sags just slightly with the curtains. The 48" to 90" rod supports just fine and doesn't sage in the middle even with the curtains closed. The end round balls are made of plastic but you can't really tell unless you touch them. I also bought the half round curtain tie backs and love the look they give the window.

    • adjustable curtain rod

I've used these rich, dark brown color rods for 42" windows and recently purchased two of the 144" wide. They are not flimsy! The widest rod works as well with the draperies as the 42". Since the rods come with supports, there is no difficulty in holding the144" length firmly when the draperies are hanging. The price is a third what I would pay for a similar look.. I'm ordering two more of this widest size for another room.

    • These are AWESOME rods

I was so impressed with these rods, I first ordered them for my dining room, I needed three and I thought for the price I would wait and see on the quality--I WAS NOT expecting what I got. these are high end rods that look and feel like a much higher dollar value item. I liked them so much I ordered 3 more sets for my bedroom and within a week, ordered additional sets for my two guest rooms. They really take the room up a notch. I love the Bronze color, they match my sheers and the other curtains that I have been using for several years. I love the look of them and they are so sturdy. I have the large grommet curtains in dining room and bedroom and all slide smoothly and evenly, rarely hang up where the two rods are joined. All in all a fantastic look.

    • look terrific and are quite sturdy

I was nervous given some of the negative reviews, but I was extremely pleased with these rods especially for the price. They are metal, not plastic. They do expand to a larger width without sagging. I'd buy these again without hesitation.

    • How many supports (brackets) come with the 46" to 86" rod? thanks

      • Hello looking, there are three brackets with this rod. I hope this helps. Have a great day!

    • How much projection away from the wall?

      • Hello mekb, the projection is approximately 3.5-5.5 inches. Thanks for shopping with us!

    • On the 48 - 86 inch rod, How long is the center extention rod. I am looking for a rod that will not show where the extentions meet when the curtains are open when using it at 48 inches.

      • Thank you for contacting us acloutier4.The pipes measure 2- pipes at 24 inches, the middle pipe is 48 inches long. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    • Can this piece mount on the ceiling?

      • Yes, that's how I installed mine.

      • I don't see why not! The bolt to hold the pole will have to be really tight to insure it stays in place.

    • Can this be mounted on the wall? Or is it only a ceiling mount?

    • What is the full length of the rod when fully extended with the end caps?

    • What is the 'clearance' distance between 'back' of the rod and the wall? Looking for a double rod set with enough clearance to hang neatly out beyond existing shades hung outside of the window opening.

      • I have single Rod, it's about 1.5 inches from wall

    • Can the curtain be looped straight over/through the rod (if it has the fabric slots), or will I need to buy the (circular) hardware rings?

    • Are these rods suitable for "outside" use? Inside a covered patio, for instance? Many thanks, Janet.

      • I would say probably so. Because they are so reasonably priced, you are safe to put up and if/when they do wear out or weather they are easy to replace. They are a very dark color so they may show dust

      • No. They are a good quality in a controlled enviornment. If you put them outdoors in the elements, the moisture result in rust and loss of the finish.

    • How many rod pieces make the 48-90" adjustable rod? Is it 2 rod segments or 3?

      • Hi my3children, we were able to verify this information with our support team. The 48-90" Bold Pole is made up of 3 pipes. Two side pipes extend from the main center pipe. We hope this helps. Thanks for shopping with us.

    • I want to find a rod that I can use on a patio door and pull the curtains to one side. Most rods have a center bracket and does not allow this. Do you have a rod that would work for me. Thanks for your help.

      • I bought the rod set that expands to 244 inches. Which what they do is send you two rods and you are suppose to combine them in to one. I put it up on my window and because my window is so wide I had to use the center bracket. But, most patio doors are not as wide as my windows I'm pretty sure. If it is the standard patio door, you can get away with buying on of these longer rods and not installing the center bracket. That's my opinion. I haven't tried it so I can't guarantee that that would work. But it is work a try. These rods are really nice for the price.

    • I need rods that extend anywhere from 140-160" each. My challenge is that the middle 4' of my regular windows do not have anyplace to mount hardware as there's a 4' wide half-moon transom centered above my windows. 1) Can I securely mount two center brackets about 50-60" off the exact middle (25-30" from each side)?? ; and, if yes, than 2) Do you have Bypass Brackets that will allow C Rings to split to the two side ends of the rod?

      • Thank you mythreegirlz for allowing us to help you with your questions about the Bold Pole 48 to 90-inch Adjustable Curtain Rod Set. Now I found a curtain rod, product number 13129992. It is identical to the one you asked about only it is a curtain rod that spans 144 to 240 inches. That should be long enough for that. Now the Transom window in the middle should have enough room for some sort of support to be mounted to it for the rod support and if it does not and you need to put a couple of off set supports then that should work as well. The large rod comes with enough supports to acomidate this need. Now we do not carry a bypass bracket that you are wanting to use but if you go to one of the 2 big hardware stores,(I can't name them but you know who I am talking about) they carry the bypass bracket you will need. We hope this helps and I appreciate being able to learn a little more today about windows so thank you. Thank you for your business and shopping at Have a great day.

    • I saw this question posted previously but didn't see the answer--and I would like to know the answer, as I'm considering buying it for a sliding glass door (78" wide) as well: What is the weight that this bracket can hold w/out using the center bracket? [I want to use this for the extra-wide blackout curtain over a sliding glass door (76" wide), and want the entire curtain to slide to one side.]

      • Thank you for contacting us bapgyrl. We do not recommend using this rod without the center bracket. The standard is that rods extended over 72" should have the center brackets mounted, but it may be okay. The two brackets can handle the weight but the center of the rod may sag. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

      • I did 5 feet without a center support. It is a bit unstable. I am careful when I close the curtains. I would not go any longer than the 60 inches without the support.

    • Are they powder coated, or painted? Specifically interested in the white.

    • I need to extend this curtain rod to it's max. Will the set come with center rod supports?

    • The question below about how far out from a wall do the brackets hold the rod was not really answered. Are you saying the bracket itself is adjustable, or does the bracket hold the rod only in a fixed position, e.g., 4 inches from the wall?

      • The Bold Pole brackets are adjustable between 3.5 inches to 5.5 inches from the wall.

    • can this be hung from an aluminm structure

    • what is the diameter of the pole? is the bracket return length adjustable and what is the max/min return?
