    I was looking for a really long rod for my oversized patio doors. There are many rods out there but you have to piece them together which creates a catch each place the rods telescope together. I wanted to avoid the telescoping because I want the curtains to be pulled to only one side of the window. I thought this rod would be long enough with only 2 peices. This rod had SEVEN peices! I put it together and it bowed without support, as you would expect with all these peices. I sent it back and ended up ordering a 12 foot brass pole from another place.

  • Bold Pole curtain rod up to 240 inches . .Yeah

    I have a 12' and 16' foot sliding glass doors and had two sets of cheap verticals on the 16 footer. I have never been able to afford a rod to fit either! These rods are beautiful and sturdy, could not be more pleased and the price is right! I have never written a review before, but realized how much I rely on others opinions, so felt I should let others know that this is a classy looking rod and and hubby had no problems with installation. Thanks Overstock!

  • Great ROd

    If you are looking for a long thick heavy duty rod this is the curtain rod for you I am using this rod in my living rooms over three windows which span 195 inches. I ordered the antique brown and to my surprise the color was spot on with the color I saw on website. I was very picky about finding a rod with the shortest projection from the wall and this fit the bill to a T. As other reviewers stated the box was pretty banged up and the rod was a bit scratched and the inside of one of the connections was bent a bit. The scratches are not noticeable way up and no will ever know. All I had to do was get a hammer and bang out the flattened side on one of the poles. All of the wall mounts, wall anchors for sheet rock and screws were included which was a HUGE BONUS!! The instructions were clear and straight forward, however hanging a curtain rod is not rocket science. Over all if you are looking for a decorative rod with a short projection and a petite yet stylish finial this is the rod for you!

  • Great Quality

    It is very difficult to ind a rod this long and it is both perfect in length and sturdy as well. I was a little worried that it would bend and sag because I only wanted to use one bracket in the middle. There is no problem. The rod comes with many brackets in case you are interested in bracing the rod in several places for an extra heavy curtain. I highly recommend this product; it is a great buy!

  • Looks Great and afforable.

    I read the reviews and was sold by the many positive reviews. That actually was the reason that I purchased the rod. It was a quick delivery I received three rods to make the one long rod. My husband installed it in less than 20 minutes. The distance that I needed to cover was about 150 inches, so only used the one support in the middle. It looks great, very sold, Looks expensive.

  • Adjustable Curtain Rod

    Surprised to see that it combines two smaller rods to make one large. Difficult to find a rod to meet the length requirements. Can be used as a ceiling mount or a wall mount. May want to change my initial mounting, but I have all that is necessary to do so.

Hi misssmartee, we were able to verify this information with our support team. This item is supplied with 6 mounting brackets. We highly recommends that at least 5 of the brackets are used to mount this longer length rod. Unfortunately the brackets are designed to be wall mounted and not ceiling mounted. We hope this helps. I have 2 12' patio doors side by side. there is 22 inches of wall, 144 patio door, then 18" wall, 144" patio door then 22 inches. How many would I need to have just one support in the middle of the doors and not have to gather the curtains in the middle of the patio doors. I would like to pull them into the wall area without having curtians hanging in the middle of the doors. Would I get away with 3 sets comfortably? wheezy111 on Mar 6, 2013

We would recommend 2 Bold Pole rods 144-240 inches and suggest that the you mount the center bracket off center of rod at approximately 78 inches rather than at center of approximately 70 inches. Placing the center bracket slightly off center will provide the stability needed for the rod and also allow the curtains to move to the wall area on both sides of the center bracket. The 155" length can be reached by overlapping the poles into one another. The guest will simply adjust the poles to a small total length for a total reach of 155". BTW, the 3 poles within each set measure 43" / 64" / 43". To reach the total 244" only 5 of the 6 poles are used, same 5 poles to reach the 155" desired length for your guest. overstockcustomercare1 on Jan 7, 2013

I have a 12 foot patio door and I will need to get lined 108" long drapes. I would like them to stack to the outside of the door perhaps 1.5 feet. The only drapes I can find have to slide on the pole. So I need each pole to be about 90 inches without a center bracket in that span. otherwise the grommet style drapes won't slide the whole distance. Right? So is this pole strong enough to hold up that much drapery without a center bracket for each of the two panels. I understand there will be a bracket in the center of the patio door. I am happy to help you with this today. Please understand that the Bold Pole 144-240" product is actually 2 rods of 90-144". The rods telescope to infinity (technically). However, we do not recommend using the fully extended pipes for one set or two sets without the center support brackets.
