Bodipedic Essentials 8-inch King-size Memory Foam Mattress

We were looking at standard King mattresses but decided to see if we could find something cheaper on the internet to get by until we could get one of the fancy, expensive mattresses. I found this one and for the price, I couldn't pass on taking a gamble. I was worried because I never liked the memory foam I've tried in the stores. I was also worried about the quality because of the super low price. It's been about a month and we are in L O V E with this bed. Shipping said it would be 3 days but ended up taking about 5. Not a big deal. It is about 110lbs shipped but my girl friend and I had no troubles carrying up the stairs. Unpacking and setting up the bed was a breeze. Just cut open the plastic, position on the bed, and watch the mattress expand. It did have a slight odor as mentioned in all the other posts and it took a couple days to air out. We started sleeping on it the same night. I am so happy with this mattress. I'm in my early 30's and have chronic back and hip pain. It's amazing what a new mattress can do! My back feels great and I feel more energized in the mornings. My girl friend works odd hours and it is really nice not to wake each other up when we get up and down. Now we just have to see how this mattress stands the test of time. I am satisfied with the quality and don't anticipate that I will have to worry about a new mattress for years to come. I highly recommend this product!

We took a risk by ordering a mattress online without testing it out first, but the reviews and the price were so great that we went for it. The bed is perfect! We wanted a memory foam mattress and this is just as good as the ones we've slept on at hotels. It's 8 inches thick, so it sits pretty level with the top of our platform bed (because we don't have a boxspring), so I may have wished we got a 10" version because it makes getting out of bed a little harder, but just measure and see if you'd have the same problem. It was delivered in a large box (it was vacuum sealed so it was easy to maneuver) and we just unfolded it on top of our bed. A few hours later it was fully expanded. We slept on it the next night and when you first lay down it's really firm, but then you sink into it ever so slightly. I would say this is the best bed if you like to sleep on a firmer surface, but you may not like it as much if you're into the plush thing.

My wife and I bought this bed for Christmas and we love it!! It was very firm out of the box so my wife was unsure if she'd like it, but after about a week it began to break-in (soften) and now we are both getting better sleeps than we ever have. Our back pain is a thing of the past. FYI - there is a bit of an odor after opening it, which took about 1 day to dissipate. I'd suggest letting it air out in a garage if at all possible. The odor wasn't too overpowering that we couldn't sleep however. Also, I've read that some people feel the mattress is too hot, but my wife and I have not found this to be true. It's possible that because it is winter it doesn't "seem" hot, but I just thought I'd pass along our experience. In addition, in case anyone is wondering, we put this mattress directly on a new metal frame that we also purchased at Christmastime ($99), and the setup has been perfect. Without the bouncy box spring and mattress my wife and I can get in and out of bed without waking the other one up. It's been great!! I strongly recommend this bed to anyone looking for a comfortable, inexpensive, alternative to a "normal" setup or to the higher priced memory foam mattresses that are out there. For the price, comfort level, and ease of setup this mattress can't be beat!!

This mattress is the best ever! I had been looking for a memory foam mattress for months, even testing out the expensive mattresses in various stores. I found this one on Overstock for thousands less than those I had tested. I must say, I couldn't be happier. I was a little hesitant not knowing if it would fully expand coming out of the box. However, it came out of the box easily and fully expanded within minutes. I was never a great sleeper, waking up often throughout the night. I also suffered from aches and pains after waking. Since receiving this mattress, I've never slept better & my pain is gone. I literally sleep like a baby. My husband (who was never a great sleeper either) also can't get over how comfortable this mattress is. He too is getting his best sleep ever. I really can't say enough about how much we love this mattress. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great memory foam mattress & a fantastic price.
