This mattress is like sleeping on a board. It is nothing like the ones that you can buy in the store. I had a memory foam topper and it is way more comfortable than this as well as alot cheaper. The bad thing about buying this item is you cannot return it. I would not recommend this product what so ever. Spend the extra money and purchase it from a specialty store.

I was initially getting this for a spare bed, but gave it to my son instead. His bedframe is a nice bunk setup so this goes on the lower bunk on top of his old mattress (it doesn't have a solid piece of wood to put a mattress like this on). With his old mattress, he was always sore when he woke up and complained of feeling like an "old man"; this has now stopped. His sister, who wants a tempur-pedic cloud (yeah right), has decided she would like one of these mattresses also. It is very soft, so if you are looking for a firm mattress, this isn't for you. It does have a strong smell that lasted for a week or two. I have a very sensitive nose, so it was rather strong to me, but it didn't bother my son. It's cover is not removable. I use jersey sheets on mattresses like this, as they stretch much more easily.

I really like my mattress. I thought it was going to be more like tempurdic but it is fine.

I have been purchasing foam mattresses from overstock for the past 4 years. First, one for my teenage daughter, then my two sons, then for my husband and myself and now for my youngest daughter! I have purchased other brands on overstock, but Biopedic is by far the best! It is shipped timely, it deflates quickly, no problems with the smell and my family just loves to sleep on their mattress! My husband has had back issues and now sleeps great! I have always liked a firm mattress, but I love the foam mattresses. You fall asleep so peacefully. I highly recommend purchasing one, you won't be disappointed!

I was nervous about buying a mattress without first being able to try it out in a store. I bought it for my teen daughter who can be quite particular. The mattress came extremely quickly & arrived in excellent condition. My daughter loves the mattress. She finds the foam comfortable & firm. Her sister liked it as well so we ended up buying a bodipedic mattress topper for her & now they are both happy. I can't speak to longevity because we've only had it a month. I thought the price was extrememly reasonable so even if the mattress has to be replaced earlier than some, it will still be a good buy.

I am really happy with our purchase!! We bought this for our daughter's bed, and was a bit nervous about buying this. We recently purcahsed a Tempurpedic bed for us, but could not justify the expense for a child's bed. I found this on overstock, and thought.... maybe it is pretty nice. If you look at the reviews for the other sizes for the Bodipedic 10" there is ALOT of very positive feedback. I would say that there is very slight smell upon opening, but nothing offensive. In 24 hours, the mattress took shape perfectly. We put this directly on our twin bed frame, and will probably put a piece of plywood down against the slates, just because they aren't as close together as I would prefer. The mattress is a little soft, but very confortable. I think if you are putting this mattress on a platform (like we did with our Tempurpedic) or a box spring, you won't have any problems or issues with proper support. I have to say... for the price this mattress is really impressive. Oh, also glad I got this mattress at 10". I was actually considering another brand, but at 8", but was worried how it would look and feel. Definitely go for 10" or greater... comfy! I've only had a short nap on this new mattress.. with my daughter... but I am planning to tell all my friends about how pleased I am. Also... can't beat the 2.95 shipping, and it came right to my door. Thanks, overstock!

The mattress is far too soft for me. I ended up flipping it over and sleeping on the underside away from the memory foam. *** I'LL NEVER AGAIN PURCHASE A MATTRESS ONLINE AGAIN - ESPECIALLY IF IT CANNOT BE RETURNED ONCE OPENED.*** Sleeping on the memory foam side made my knees too high (because my hips sunk into the memory foam) and caused knee and lower back pain. Also the outgassing lasted at least a week (even with all windows open and fan directed at it) and made me a bit nauseous. It was a wasted $***. and now I'm looking for another mattress in stores where I can lay my body down on the mattress for a little while to really get a feel for it. Sorry to all the lovers of this mattress who are out there! This mattress is just not for me

I bought this bed for my guest room. My father-in-law, brother-in-law, and Aunt have now bought this exact same mattress for their house. My 12 year old daughter no longer sleeps in her own bed, and I will be purchasing another one for her bed. SO COMFY! We got the medium firmness, it is very very very soft. Feels like you are wrapped in luxury. My husband likes his bed more firm so be aware of this if you do purchase this mattress. Delivered on time within a week of ordering, firmed up within two days, didn't smell too bad, my kids thought it smelled more like vanilla.

Very comfy - hardly any outgassing time, and quick shipping. Great bargain!

Both our kids were complaining about their mattresses and they wanted a foam mattress like we have. This mattress was a great deal and we ordered one for both kids. They love them. They are so much more comfortable than their old basic mattress. They also are warmer since the foam holds their body heat better. So glad that we got this mattress for the kids.

This is the third Bodipedic mattress I've gotten from overstock. The quality is first class and the sleep is awesome. I bought my first one a couple of years ago for myself and thought my kids should enjoy the same comfort. Now it's tough as ever to get them out of bed. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to enjoy memory foam and not break the bank.

This mattress is absolutely awesome. We purchased this one for my son as we had previously purchased one for my daughter and he was quite envious. We have had ours for over six months and my husband loves it. However, after reviewing comments from other purchasers, we decided to purchase the mattress topper along with our mattress to allow for a bit of added comfort. Buyers must be alert that when this mattress arrives, you MUST unpack it within a day and let it rest and come to its full shape BEFORE putting it on your bed. The longer you leave it rolled up in the packing material, the longer it takes to come back to its natural shape and fullness. My son could not wait to use his mattress and was actually resting on it in the dining room the day after it was unpacked. Yes, it is that comfortable. Great purchase! Thanks Overstock!

sorry, but this mattress is awful, wish we could return it, but it's not returnable - can't move or turn on the foam. Also, the foam itself is too firm.

Don't let the packaging worry you. Two women of average strength can carry it into a bedroom easily and unpack it. Because it has been compacted it would be great if you have an upstairs room you needed to carry it to. After waiting the 24 hours after unwrapping it ,my granddaughter experienced a very good nights sleep and doesn't complain of any more backpain. Her old conventional mattress which still appears to be new lasted less then 2 years. The mattress appears to be well made and we feel it should last her thru high school at the very least.
