    Its a beast kinda heavy a real work horse starts easy and has a lot of power. I had a problem with the brush guard busting apart tho it was like 30 deg outside and I'm shure that made the guard brittle. Anyway customer service sent me out a new guard pdq'and all is good. Remember this is no light weight weedeater and for the money and one year warranty I don't think you'll be disapointed..

  • Extreme Duty Straight Shaft Trimmer

    This Blue Max Trimmer/Brush Cutter combo is a complete package. Everything you need to assemble, use, and service this trimmer is included except the gas and oil. You get the trimmer head with string, a support strap, a brush cutter blade, a small jug to mix the gas and oil, and a number of tools. Assembly was fast… about 15 minutes which included unpacking from the box although the instructions were a little lacking. The trimmer is heavier than most so the strap is a must in my opinion while the one provided is sufficient a more padded is a must. The first start was quick and easy. This trimmer is loud but at 42.6 cc that's to be expected. It took me a moment to get use to the handles but once I did it actually feels better than a regular trimmer. I have a ditch behind my home that gets overgrown with weeds, tree seedlings, and brush and this trimmer handles that very well opposed to a standard trimmer. I have owned a Blue Max chainsaw for over a year now and it is one of the best I have ever used so when it came time to replace my trimmer/brush cutter I looked at similar trimmer/brush cutters and this one an excellent value.
