The convenience of the pull-away steak knife set makes this a notch above the rest. Great idea and terrific set.

Not a bad cheap set. Def not what I thought from Kitchen Aide. My block was cut wrong. Should have sent it back. Knifes also rusted even hand washing.

The knife set is adequate - the handles are fine and seem to be durable enough. The steel is a little light - I had hoped that Kitchen Aid would have protected its image a bit more. The block, itself, is adequate - don't really need the protruding Kitchen Aid medallion on the front.

I ordered Kitchen Aid Pro SS 14pc cutlery set/kit. Received 13 pcs. The shears were not in the package. Very disappointed. Overstock and Kitchen Aid should correct this. Item #13283826-000-000

Very, very nice and great price for Henckel knives. The block has some extra slots and I was worried that some knives were missing. I just added some Kitchen Aide sissors to complete the set. They really should be included anyway - but hey for the price it's great.

Looking for a good quality set and found this. Kitchen Aid is a reputable company and I have never been disappointed with anything from them. This knife set is no exception.

These knives are extremely low quality. They rust and pit after one use...hand wash or not. The bread knife...you may as well use a butter knife to cut bread...this could also be said for the steak knives, the pearing knife...well, all the knives are just not good. You can sharpen them (before each and every use), but you are not getting through vegetables for soup or stew on one sharpening...just low, low quality. The shears become extremely loose at the hinge after minimal use and don't count on using them as a kitchen shear...cutting coupons, yes...cutting ANYTHING else, forget it. Best thing I can say is they look pretty on the counter. So if you don't cook and are only out to decorate your kitchen, these are for you; otherwise, honestly, you are better off getting a cheap set from a big box store. Oh yes...one last thing...when you contact Kitchen Aid, the customer service is anything BUT stellar...let me save you the trouble..."Get Bar Keeper's Friend...it will get those rust pits right out...so not.

My block was one whole piece..no removable part to take off steak knifes. I didn't see that listed in the description so wasn't really an issue for me. However, it does list a larger size for the santoku knife. The one in my set was only 3.5". When ordering online we depend on the description to be accurate and am not pleased with the wrong size knife being listed in the description listed by overstock.

Knives are very sharp out of the box. Nice heavy feel to the blades when cutting.

the quality of this product was very good except for one hole that was not poked all the way through for the largest knife in the block. The knife will not fit in the block all the way.

One year ago I purchased a gift set for my sister in law and upon her excellent recommendation of the same set for my new apartment! It's form and function in one!

My daughter was thrilled with her knife set. The only setback was that they couldn't go in the dishwasher...I she thinks they can work around that, if they're careful. It was a "lot of knife" for the price!

It is always a pleasure to shop with Overstock. Since I have been shopping with the store, I have never been disappointed. My products always arrive on time and with out shipping cost. Both my husband and I enjoy shopping with the "O." Keep up the good work.

These are excellent knives for the price! Very sharp! (I actually have a band-aid on my finger right now from washing one of them) The handles have a very comfortable grip also!

Decent set for the money. It's KitchenAid so you're getting a decent set but it's the highend of the middle. I have to sharpen these knives every time I use them. They're more of a first set than for someone who needs really good knives.

Because these were KitchenAid I expected better. But all in all they are OK for a vacation home or for an entry set. If you are accustomed to "serious knives" these will disappoint. The so called chef's knife is light weight and lacks proper balance and the serrated knife isn't long enough to be called a bread knife. It looks like somebody that doesn't cook much tried to re-design what should be in a basic knife set. I bought them for a second home so I decided to keep them to get me by. I could not afford another set of good knives so these will work. For the money they are a good value.
