my fifteen year old uses it without problems and it is easy to clean. We use regular granulated sugar. It makes only one to two servings at a time, so would not be suitable for a group. Overall, it is a fun machine.

I bought this for my nephew. It doesn't need cotton candy floss (very hard to find) and he loves it!!! It is easy to clean and works wonderfully!! I would recommend this to anyone that wants an inexpensive cotton candy machine (that looks expensive) that works great!

We found this machine to be much neater than a different brand we had purchased a few years back. The cotton candy stays in the bowl and on the stick. Although the product instructions say to use table sugar, we chose to use the cotton candy sugar and have had no problems. Our grandkids age 6, 3 and 1 are delighted with the candy. The machine is very easy to clean and store. We recommend this product to anyone especially grandparents because you can then send the kids home after the sugar high.

It works well as long as you have patience, and aren't feeding anyone other then your self. It says to let it heat up for 5 minutes and then not to run it for longer then 40 minutes. It then takes about 30 minutes to spin one small to medium size cone. But it does not shoot hot sugar anywhere other than into the dish. So it's not messy at all and really easy to clean up. I bought this for my 18 year old brother for Christmas and he says he loves it. I think i'd loose interest after the first time useing it but he says him and my sister who is 22 both use it a lot,. He also says the wait and amount of time you have to put into getting the cotton candy makes it more rewarding to eat. P.S. he's only used regular old sugar too,no floss.

This machine works well and is attractive, however it produces a very small amount of cotton candy with each use. You must use the measuring cup provided, and it results in about 1/2 cup of cotton candy.

Great item make sure you follow instructions. the kids and I had a great time making it great family time item!!! I also purchased the donut maker and it was a hit as well.
