Because the blender was purchased as a holiday gift, it remains unopened at this time, so I am unable to provide specific information regarding it. However, I can comment on the excellent service provided me by the representative when I was making my purchase and the very prompt delivery of the blender. Both were excellent, however, because I personally interacted with the representative, I can say so much more about her. This young lady was courteous, proficient, and very kind. To say she was helpful is an understatement.

I recently purchased a refurbished kitchen aid empire red blender. I have many other empire red KitchenAid products and it was time to add this beauty to the package. When I opened the package I knew it had been refurbished, so it possibly wouldn't be perfect. However, it was pretty darn close! It had a few scratches on the pitcher for the blender but the machinery part looked absolutely perfect. I'm sure the previous owner before me used it just a few times and decided to return it, hence the scratches. I would suspect they are from ice hitting the sides, which would be normal with any blender. It is a great product and I use it often to make adult beverages. :)

Compared to previously owed Blenders this is an absolute standout. However, like all others it is too loud; so I only wish Kitchen Aid would find the means to insulate the engine noise. Perfect functionality and in all other respects.

Using a blender every day we went through several brands incl. kitchen aid (broke within 2 yrs.) ... and ended up with the Ninja + 2 single serving cups which are THE BEST addition anyone could ask for. This machine does anything you ask for but grinding rocks. Amazing - all parts go into the dishwasher but the motor - of course .... Love it - love it - love it

We have only used it so far to make malts, did a good job there for sure. It seems very powerful compared to our old cheap blender. It does seem to be made to Kitchen Aid standards. So far we are impressed.

Disappointing. Broke down after a year (out of warranty). Too costly to replace parts. Cheaper to buy a new one. This I would buy at Macy's or local store, as it is easier to replace parts or use warranty. Also , perhaps because refurbished it was not durable. Not worth the few dollars savings.

I'm really not all that satisfied with this. It didn't quite work like I had expected. I've seen commercials on the TV and thought this would be better since it's a Cuisinart.

After comparing several options I decided to buy the HB Hand Blender. It promised power, a long cord and three attachment options. It delivers ! The cordless models didn't have the power we wanted to turn the soups and vegetable stocks into the creamy delights that this blender creates. The attachments are easy to interchange and clean up is a delight. No more messy pots and spills. It comes with a storage case that keeps the HB clean and ready to impress.

Appears to be well-made, I like the interchangeable parts, and I'm hoping that they will be easy to keep clean and will not rust.

I love this blender and it takes ice on and creates slush so bravo. I love the red that matches the other Kitchen aide appliances I own - its so fun, the toaster will be next! This is refurbished and I think the price was high considering that, otherwise its all good. Nicely packed and arrived crazy fast! Thank you Overstock

I am a professional cook and i use my blender almost every other day for chopping, blending, mixing and pureeing ... Kitchen aid is a good kitchen brand and as expected the blender delivers what is expected out of it ... It does crushes ice efficiently ... Makes nut butter (i did almond) , makes good hollandaise, and perfect for smoothies and margaritas ... I have even made ice cream and sorbets with it and the result is creamy and thick ice cream ... The color is very good , goes perfectly with my red and white kitchen .. Though its refurbished i cannot spot a thing in it which would make it look like it has been used earlier ... Looks just like new ... But half the price !! I am satisfied with it so far , great value for money and a good buy if u dont have the budget to shell out 400 bucks on a blender

I have been using a kitchen aid blender (the same unit) for the past 13-14 years. I've probably made 400 smoothies with it. The unit still works but the rubber drive unit keeps having to be replaced, and the container is glass. So I bought this unit ksb1575. on the 6th smoothy (that's pretty much all I use blenders for), it started smoking. I suspect a burned a diode. The top 2 speeds no longer work. This is junk. It is also very loud. I would not recommend this product.

Both the blender and the food processor work extremely well. The food slicer/shredder, takes getting use to. You need smaller then the chute pieces and pulse action when using versus using full out power. I am a senior and want a small dual purpose machine for 2 people and it has more than met our expectations so far. The plastic seems of a better quality then the Miiallergo Mittuto 450, that I had to return because the plastic kept breaking and they(MM) had very poor support and never-ever called back or followed through. "O", however handled the issue and I replaced it with Cuisinart CSB-80.

Ordered on the recommedation of a friend. So glad I did, it is amazing, so much more efficient than a "stick blender". Wow, can't say enough.

This is the best blender ever...put in ice frozen fruit and so on and just turn it on. No need to pulse or open to stir contents. Genius design. If I had a choice I'd get it without the dispenser. Also remarkable easy to clean.
Making smoothies and milkshakes is easy with the right blender to mix everything together into a smooth consistency. A juicer, on the other hand, separates juice from fruit and vegetables by squeezing it. If you want the pure vegetable or fruit juice of a vegetable or fruit, you will probably need to buy a juicer, such as an orange juicer, rather than a kitchen blender. For thicker smoothies and drinks that still contain fruit pulp, however, blenders will work well. Read on for tips on using your food blender as a juicer for a variety of fruits.
