I had this blender less than 6 months used it less than 2 dozen times and the thing just started smoking and quit. The 18 mos warranty is worthless to me because it will cost me almost as much as I paid for it to ship it to the factory.

GREAT blender, especially for anything that requires ICE. I bought this refurbished blender 2 1/2 yrs ago and it has withstood 3 teenagers blending ice cubes into smoothies and protien shakes. I just bought 2 more for the last to leave home and set up thier oun kitchen. I highly recommmend this blender. Another homerun by O!

This blender exceeded my expectations in ease of operation, efficient blending, quiet motor, easy cleaning (washing) of the product, as well as efficient ice chopping. The 2 settings are both very functional, and blend nicely. The price is right for a quality product such as this Kalorik blender.

When my Oster died, I went to cooks illustrated for a reccomendation. This was rated #2 but was over $100.00 cheaper. We have only had it a week so I cannot judge durability. But I will say it makes a great frozen Margarita. And Overstocks price with shipping included was the best by far.

does not work well for small quantities of liquid , 1 to 2 cups, which is the bulk of my blending. complicated to operate, needs lit to blend If plastic safety features break, the blender will not work and you have to get a whole new one.

IS A WAY BETTER QUAILTY PRODUCT THEN THOSE OTHER CHEAP BLENDERS. SO FAR HAS HELD UP WITH 2 TEEN-AGE DAUGTERS. SEEMS TO BE A FANTASTIC BLENDER TO HAVE IN ANY HOME. WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE TO GET THIS PRODUCT.

I just purchased this blender as a replacement for another brand that burnt out after only 2 months(heavy usage). Low and behold when I unpackaged it, its the EXACT same blender that I am replacing, just with a different name on it. Called Kalorik and asked them about that and they claimed no knowledge of this blender being sold under any other name. . However it is manufactured overseas, so my guess is the manufacturer is selling this as a low end blender to several different companies.I'm not planning on returning it though, because I did get the replacement plan, and the other one worked VERY well while it lasted.

I bought this for the specific purpose of crushing ice and making smoothies, after reading hundreds of reviews for other blenders. If you don't want to spend $400-500 on a Vitamax, then this is your second best choice. It crushes ice and liquefies everything into a smooth texture very fast. There is, however, an electric burn smell when it operates longer than 30 seconds. The blade gets stuck when you're blending large quantities w/o enough liquid, in other words if the content is more paste-like rather than liquid-like. We've been using it almost every day for the last 2 months and, overall, we're happy with the quality of this product.

Absolutely love my blender! My girls love smoothies. We had an Oster blender but it was loud and took forever to make the smoothies smooth. As soon as the UPS man delivered the blender...we put it to use. I have to say...what an upgrade! Worth every penny. I love that it runs through a cycle to make the smoothie and I dont have to babysit the blender. It made 4 smoothies in 20 seconds and it was perfectly blended.no chunks of ice....love it! Not to mention that it came with a cookbook. Highly recommend this blender!

I have only had this blender for a few weeks, but I love it already. I use it almost everyday to blend my smoothies. I usually do 2 to 3 16oz smoothies a day so it gets a nice workout. Very reasonably priced for a 500 watt machine. Easy cleanup. Great size, not too big & bulky like some other models and not too small like those personal blenders. Most important is that it is a glass pitcher and not plastic, I really like that about this model. Takes up minimal space and sits on my kitchen counter like a bright shiny apple. I am very happy with my purchase.

I did extensive research before purchasing a blender. I looked at Vitamix and Blendtec and I was hooked. I looked at the Waring but there is just to many cheap Warings' out there that are throw away to make me try them. I mean this is $300 we are talking about here. There is no doubt that this blender is in the same realm as Vitamix and Blendtec. This thing is built to last. The bottom of the jar has a stainless steel coupler for added duribility. It also has big rubber pads to keep it from "running" on the counter top. When you get up to this level on a blender there are certain funtions your expect... Ice, nut butters and large fruits... This blender doesn't think twice. Don't leave it on to long or it will start to puree and warm the food in the blender up. (which is common among big blenders). The switches even feel good on this machine! The blade is as thick as a blendtec and if you have ever seen a Blendtec's blade, then you know what I am talking about. I have owned Omega juicers for a long time and everyone in the juicing game knows how good they are! Buying this blender in not only a investment for long lasting durability, it is also a investment in you health. These days that is a good choice to make.

We needed a new blender as our 32 yr old model finally blew a fuse! My husband and I make protein shakes daily, so we needed a great blender and that's what we got. Only 2 speeds and a pulse is perfect for our needs. I found out I love vegetables pureed with OJ. Carrot shake sounds gross, but is delicious!!!

I have a Hamilton Beach (wave runner) blender that I used daily and needed this to replace the bottom portion of the blender with the blades only. The glass that came with the replacement kit is actually smaller than the one that came with my blender so I took the new blade housing out and put it in my old blender glass. It works great. Saved me about 1/2 the cost of buying a replacement blender.

I needed a blender for my morning drink and this blender was the best value. I love that it is a glass pitcher although the lid is not so great, but it doesn't affect the performance. It has 2 speeds, but it is enough to get any blending job done. It is small enough to leave out on the counter without taking up much space. It runs very smooth and quiet. I am very happy with this blender.

I'd purchased a Cuisinart a few years back to replace an older blender. This 'higher quality' blender was awful!! It sounded like an airplane engine -- loud and obnoxious-- and left lumps of banana in my shakes. If a blender cannot grind a banana then this is NOT a blender. This time around I read the reviews and description and decided to purchase a Kalork. I was not disappointed. It is much quieter than the Cuisinart; grinds well for my purposes (my breakfast shakes and margaritas). The only thing I can see is that the 'thingy' that the blender glass jar attaches to -- on the base-- is made out of plastic instead of metal or a sturdier element so that I am not sure this will last very long. For the price, if I can get 2 or more years out of it, I will be happy. So much for planned obsolescence! :)

We received the blender within 3 days (!) of purchase but I think the reason was that we live in FL and it was shipped in the same state. We haven't used it a lot yet but the smoothie and hummus we made the blender worked great. I was worried that having only 2 settings for speed might not be sufficient but it is perfectly enough. Great product for the price.

I HAVE TO USE IT A LITTLE MORE TO LEARN HOW TO CHOP VEGETABLES, ONIONS, CELERY [ETC]. IT SEEMS TO TURN THEM TO MUSH BY THE TIME YOU GET ALL THE PIECES, CHOPPED. EVERYTHING ELSE WE HAVE TRIED HAS WORKED FINE.
