We had been shopping for bunkbed locally and online when we ran across this item. I've had good fortune with previous purchases from Overstock so decided to try a larger purchase. The bed was shipped in a very timely manner and the freight company person was very easy to work with in arriving at a delivery time. Lots of pieces, fortunately my son is handy in assembly process. I feel like I could have put it together, but it would have taken me longer. Assembly requires several hours. The bed is sturdy and the granddaughter loves it. The price was very right and the quality of the product is excellent.

Looks lovely -- the wood is just minimally "antiqued." The part under the mattresses has both wooden cross-bars and straps, making it extra safe. But the top (as in the picture; I just didn't notice) has the side rail extending all the way across. This means kids have to actually crawl over it from the ladder which is a bit tricky. But the biggest problem has been assembly -- it took my husband and I hours and hours over many days to put together. Fitting the side rails to the head & foot boards was really difficult -- the holes and the pegs were about 2mm off from each other. Still, the final product is nice and should last for many years.

I searched for a long time on the internet to find a white bunkbed for my daughter's room, and I'm very happy with my purchase of this bed. The "blue slats" shown in the picture actually turned out to be much more of a periwinkle or purple color, but this actually matched my daughter's room better than the blue would have. Luckily, my husband is very handy or I would have been in big trouble trying to put this bed together - it's definitely a two-person job, and one of them needs to be strong and very handy with tools and reading directions! It took us about two hours to assemble, but once it was done, it was well worth the effort. The bed is very solidly constructed, and it looks beautiful. I saw similar quality beds to this one selling for well over a thousand dollars, so I feel we got an incredible value - especially considering the shipping costs were negligible! I'd definitely purchase this bed again or recommend it to a friend. Thanks Overstock!

This item was received on a pallet in multiple boxes on my front porch. After inspecting all pieces and carrying them upstairs my friends handy husband and his power drill come to my rescue. Assembly time was approximately four hours and it took some manuevering to get the top bunk onto the metal pins on the bottom bunk. The wood is very good quality and the top bunk was sturdy enough to let me get up there to make up the bed! The ladder attaches securely onto the frame of the top bunk and touches nicely onto the floor. I was slightly disappointed though with the painting of this product. The areas of blue paint need about one more coat for a really complete finish. But, my child is happy as a clam with this bed set and I went ahead and ordered the matching dresser that goes with the bed. If you are looking for bunk bed sets, this one is an awesome deal as far as quality and price.
