When my sister moved out of my house she took the theater seating she bought with her and I was left without any seats for my home theater. I saw the reviews on Overstock for this thearter seating and decided I'll give it a shot. The pictures on the site looks decent, but when I got the seats, they looked so much better than the photos. I am very pleased with it. The seats don't recline as far back as my sister's seating, but that's not a big deal. Overall I like these seat better. The assembly was easy too.

We spent a long time looking at theater seating, and found none comparable in appearance for less than double what we paid - although those had mechanized reclining. These are simply beautiful, very comfortable oversized chairs. Assembly was pretty easy: I moved each of the four large boxes downstairs (by sliding) myself and was able to assemble them alone before my wife came home in about 90 minutes. Ours came predrilled so we did not have the problem another reviewer had installing the feet, and in general the only issue was hooking the chairs together which would have been very easy w/2 people. Definitely put them exactly where you want them before hooking them together. The footrests are a little difficult and awkward to put back in; you really have to push with your calves/feet to get them back in there, but you can fully recline with a minimum of space behind the chairs as they slide forward twice as much as backward, something I was curious about pre-purchase. The leather surfaces are soft and high quality, and the frames are well made for years of enjoyment. Easily the best value available, and delivered in 8 days. We love them.

The seats are very nice looking and comfortable. They arrive in cardboard boxes only - there's no padding or styrofoam to protect them during transit/storage. The first time the seats were delivered, one of the seats had a small puncture and one of the seats was crushed (apparently by a forklift). I refused the shipment and another set came about 4 weeks later. This set appeared to be intact. However, there were no assembly instructions. After putting the seats together, I noticed that one of the recline levers has a screw that had its head twisted off and the recline function does not work smoothly. The screw is sharp and it is in a location that makes it likely that someone would cut themself trying to recline. If the seat came from a furniture store, it would be going back, but I don't have that option on a special delivery item from overstock.

The price of these chairs was excellent. We were building a home theather in our basement and had shopped quite a bit for similar chairs. These were about half the price of elsewhere, so we took a chance. Overall they look great and are comfortable. Our three kids love them and said we should rate them 5 stars for everything (but they didn't have to assemble them.) One other thing to note was that these chairs came with "Threshold Delivery" which basically means to your door. The chairs came on a large wooden pallet, which the delivery company was not able to break down, so they put it in my garage. I was told when they come with larger trucks, they leave it on the curb. I had to break down all of the boxes and move inside and then had some trouble with assembly. The feet were hard to put on because the holes were not predrilled. Once we started predrilling the holes it went faster. Hooking the four chairs together was very easy. The only other problem we had was that one of the four chairs did not recline. We found the cable with a small pin which had come loose from the foot recliner and were able to reattach. Now that they are in our theater room, we love them. They look great and are very comfortable.
