I had a TCM450B for over a year and it makes great consistent coffee.Recently my girlfriend dropped a heavy metal knife into the carafe and broke the internal glass.This is the only coffee maker I have ever owned that compelled me to buy a replacement of the same type. I ordered another TCM450B and I'm back to making great coffee. Unless you are a complete klutz, I find nothing extraordinary difficult about this coffee maker. The thermal carafe in PLAINLY marked on where to rotate the lid to when pouring a cup of coffee, which it does without any spills. Other glass carafes I have had did not pour as easily as this one. The plastic is the same as any other coffee maker I have used in the past. The thermal carafe keeps the coffee warm for hours. I have no complaints at all about this coffeemaker.I can say with confidence, I would buy this coffee maker again because I did!

I was looking forward to this product ... though it works and looks nice, it is very difficult to maneuver. The tea/coffee bin never wants to lock in, and the thermal pot ALWAYS spills, whether you are pouring slow or fast. I keep hoping that these things will work themselves out!

I love the coffee maker, because it has a thermal container that keeps the coffe hot for a long time. The price was reasonable, and i did not have to run around to several stores to find it. Thank You.

I actually love this maker. Never burns the coffee. Has to save energy too by not having the hot plate.

Since the coffee maker did not work after 2 weeks of use, I WOULD NOT recommend it to anyone!

Works great and brews very well. Nice appearance, easy to operate and set auto-brew function. A very, very good value.

The look is par for Black & Decker products. It leaks water on the hot plate and counter when brewing coffee. The filter basket is hard to lock into place. I do like the thermal caraffe for keeping the coffee warm after brewing. I have had better caraffe coffee pots.
