can opener
it might be me, and i keep trying, but it's difficult to get the blade on the can lid - i keep trying and when it hooks on it's great....

B&D spacemaker canopener
Very nice. Installation with some complications due to my cabinets, but otherwise fairly easy installation. Looks nice, works well.

Difficult
Difficult to operate. It works fine once you "set" the can just in the magical place where it works. I am still trying to find the right place each time I use it. The bag opener is also troublesome to find the sweet spot where works. It is easier just to use scissors.The placement of the knife sharpener is inconvenient due to the machine being attached under a cabinet. I would not recommend anyone buy this.

Perfect
I am very pleased with my spacesaver undercabinet can opener. I recently started a kitchen makeover and decided to purchase black/silver appliances and wanted to free up some of my counter space. Best feature is that when the appliance is not in use it has a front cover. GREAT IDEA!

Doesn't work with 3/4" moulding
This looks like it might be a nice can opener, however we were unable to use it because it will only accommodate under cabinet moulding up to 1/2" thick. Our moulding is 3/4" thick, and therefore the can opener cannot be installed. It will be returned to Overstock.

Brand and Vendor Reliability
After thirty years it was time to replace the opener we had. The gear teeth finally gave up the ghost when I tried to open a #10 can. Because of the durability of the old one, there was no question what brand the new one would be. I also like the under cabinet design because I do occasionally have to open over-sized cans, and standing models do not make allowances for that.I comparison shopped as usual and came back to Overstock for the best deal. I've done business with them before and they are a reliable vendor. While there are sometimes sellers with marginally lower prices, I'd rather avoid hassles and shop with a business who has a significant track record.
