These lanterns are the dimmest ones I've seen.
Instructions were very simple but unless I did something wrong, they never recharged. Burnt out and never charged up again. ***. for 2days of firefly brightness.

Only for looks
These were disappointing. First, they are cheap black plastic. Could be my fault for not reading the description closely enough, but I thought they'd be much sturdier. Second, they really aren't functional. They work - but they don't light up a walkway at all. The instructions are basically nonexistent - takes a while to realize what parts are to be used if staking in the ground vs. hanging.

Solar Lights
Shipment arrived with pieces missing but Overstock replaced them -- took about 2 weeks. The lights after one day were not functional. Lights were designed to charge during the day and glow at night. Despite being in full sunlight for 10 to 12 hours tthe lamps lasted about 1/2 hour after sunset. Some lights didn't glow others were faint. Tried making the system work for 2 weeks before returning them to Overstock

Excellent solar lights.
Very pleased with the solar lights. They hold their light for a long time after dark and look very nice in my yard. I like that I can mount them on the wall as well as in the ground.

Very Nice
They are plastic, but seem sturdy and won't rust like the metal ones. The poles don't stick together really tight, but they didn't come apart during the recent earthquake, and could always be glued if neccessary. The light is not as bright as hardwired, of course, but brighter than non-LED lights. The lights are large, they look nice. Single lights like these in local stores cost around $20-$30 EACH, so this was a very good deal. I ordered one set for my front sidewalk, and liked them well enough to order another set for the backyard patio.

Great Looking Solar Lights
These lights look so much nicer than the plain ones found in home products stores. The cost is worth it for this product. The 12 lights we bought look great along our circular drive.
