Black 5-tier 2-piece Leaning Ladder Shelf with Laptop Desk Set

One screw hole that was necessary for the product's assembly was not even there, making a top shelf impossible to install (without having to drill a hole myself). The glue provided was completely dried up & therefore could not be used. The desk itself is wobbly, the shelves are very loose & they do not sit firmly. The picture on the site is very deceiving, and it should be emphasized that the desk is two separate pieces that DO NOT connect/interlock. Also in the photo, the top two shelves of each piece are at the same height, but after installing & realizing the wobbliness & lack of stability in the desk, they do not sit at the same height. Also the supporting beams from the two separate pieces that are in contact with one another in the picture do not match up & sit evenly beside each other.

I am very happy with the appearance of my shelves. They seem structurally sound. And are a functional and attractive addition to my home.

For the money, this is an excellent purchase. I have a 21.5" iMac on the laptop shelf and many books/other items on the other shelves. Though it will wobble side-to-side if you nudge it on purpose, it is absolutely sturdy enough for all practical purposes and isn't going anywhere. I have the shelves on hardwood floors -- to further prevent any sliding or shifting, I slipped a tiny piece of area rug padding under each leg of the shelf. This wasn't really necessary, but makes me feel better about having my computer on the shelf. Would highly recommend this to others, especially in comparison to more expensive options at other stores. Set-up was easy and I was able to assemble the shelves quickly by myself.

Pros: - Easy to set up - Stylish - Cheaper in price than Container Store, Crate and Barrel, BBB, etc - 5 tier shelf has a 3rd leg for support Cons: - Does not feel sturdy...some of the shelves wobble a little. - One of the t-nut that attaches the frame to the shelf does not work. Home Depot doesn't carry them. Hard to find. - Only the 5 tier shelve comes with wall mounting hardware to prevent shelf from tumbling over. The desk one does not. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. While I am scared to put anything TOO heavy on the shelves, I believe other alternatives are the same in quality.
