I bought this item and is very good easy to put together. it took me like teen to fifteen minutes.. i like it

These units are purely for storage preferable behind doors. They are unattractive when assembled as you are forced to have the unfinished side of the bottom shelf showing due to the grouting. There are large metal screw heads which had to be painted over. Not extremely stable either. If you stick them in a closet and put fairly light items on them you'll be ok but don't plan on having them sit in a room as a piece of furniture.

This is a great product for a good price. I was very happy that the shipment was on schedule and the product matched the color on the site. I was able to assemble this in 20 minutes by myself. I was impressed at the quality of the product. It was heavy and sturdy. Just what I needed in my bed room for my dvd player and books.

My home office is also my sewing/crafts room and I was getting tired of everything just being everywhere, so I started looking for storage shelves made to hold baskets and found these. These were the best price around and ordering them here, shipping was not an issue. These are heavy boxes and packaged well to survive the rigors of shipping and weather. Be prepared for recycling, there is a lot of packaging material. I ordered four of them and put two side by side and stacked the other two on top of them. They fit exactly in a normal height ceiling room. For safety, I located the wall studs behind each stack and drilled one hole through the back and screwed them to the wall. I am feeling better already! I ordered VP Home I-Cubes Lime Storage Baskets to insert in the cubbies. For the price, the quality is nice. Note that the gold wood screws do show along the sides, so plan where you put these if that will bother you. Note on assembly. While the pictures are excellent and every piece is stamped with a letter; just pay attention to which is top and which is bottom ( all shelves should have black side UP and unfinished side DOWN) and make sure that you line up the grooves to slip the back panels in. The holes are pre-drilled, but I found after doing two of them, that the best way to ensure the back panels went in smoothly, was to physically line up the grooves as I screwed the shelves onto the first side. Then the back panels slipped in seamlessly. I am pleased enough to take the time to come here and write this review!

Pretty much what I expected for ****, it does the trick and looks nice in my living room holding my law books. Sometimes I'm afraid that if my cat jumps on the top it's going to wobble over, but so far so good! I can't really complain.

This little book shelf is exactly what I needed. I use it in my home office, and it's just the right size for storing the things I need to get to fast

I am very happy with my recent purchase. I am using them to make an Entertainment center. They were very easy to put together and look fabulous on each side of my 27" HDTV. There is plenty of shelf space for my Audio devices etc. I shop at Overstock often. Shipping is so cheap.

I have had the 3 tier shelf for about 3 years now and wanted another one for the other side of my computer table, but only the 4 tier shelf was available. They are very easy to assemble. Like other reviews, yes the screws are bronze instead of black but I used a black permanent marker and they blend in just fine. My computer table is pretty small and I use these shelfs to store my various paper, pens, a few books, extra print cartiridges and disk - it's perfect. They are just the right size - not too big. I have another one of the 3 tier units in white for my bathroom to store extra paper, soaps and candles and it fits perfectly. I've had it for almost 2 years and it has held up fine even with the moisture of the bathroom.OK downside: This is particle board with a laminate overcoat - The back is like cardboard, so it you are looking for a heavy duty, solid wood shelfing unit, this is probably not the unit for you, but for inexpensive - medium to light use, this is really a decent shelf.I am thinking of purchasing yet another one for my son's room so he can have a cubby for his four major classes. I think it would be a nice organizational tool for his four AP courses, as they have a lot of papers, note cards and references for each class.

I am very disappointed in this product. First, the screws included to assemble the shelves were the wrong fit. Also, they are brass and are visible on each side of the unit. My husband was able to put it together, but it would take someone handy to do it. Second, it is much smaller than the picture shows. I should have paid more attention to the dimensions listed in the description. Overall, once assembled it looks very cheap. Don't waste your money...definitely not worth the price. I guess we'll find a use for it. I don't have the energy to take it apart and ship it back. On the positive side, shipping was extra quick. I will continue to shop Overstock, but I'll be a little more careful next time.

I liked the product itself, but they gave me the wrong color, stupid people. i wanted black. The actual product itself is sturdy, and easy to assemble. I would recommend just make sure they give you the right color.
