We bought this bench after searching through many internet sites and furniture stores and we're really happy with it - it looks beautiful. Although its hard to see from the picture, the color is really black, maybe that's what Mahogony means but I was picturing it a dark brown. It is a really nice black though. The assembly was no problem, the directions were clear and it only required a screwdriver. The drawers were hard to fit in once they were assembled but we realized that it you remove the plastic runners then they open and close easily, even though they are a little flimsy. With the runners in, its impossible to store anything inside. The bench really looks beautiful and we've gotten a lot of compliments on it, the price seems good as well.

this bench is very sturdy and attractive--we love it. the only drawbacks werre that it took about 2 hours to assemble (though the instructions were clear) and the drawers werre not easy to fit the first time as the plastic guides have to be "seated"--it took a few uses and a tad bit of silicon lube to work smoothly. we are very happy with the product!.

We read the other reviews about the bench before we bought it, my husband is also very handy, which I think he saw this as a challenge. It only took him less than an hour to assemble using a screwdriver and a rubber mallot and the allyn wrench that was included. If you know about putting things together don't be afraid of this product.. The end result is a really nice looking, sturdy bench in our entry way where our kids throw their bookbags and put on their shoes!!

More than a pain to put together, arrived with one broken piece, once put together another part of the bench came flying off... screws for the bench part are so long that they come through the other side.... so you get a nice "bite" when you sit down on it. I don't normally review items, because overstock usually makes me more than happy... but please skip this item...... you will not be pleased!

The bench is made of quality materials and looks great. It is a real pain to put together, though. Took about 3 hours.

Arrived quickly. My husband, who is relatively handy, took 3 hours to assemble it, but he did and it looks great in our entry! Drawers don't slide in and out well, but they're not used often anyway. It is a sturdy piece of furniture though.

This is a nice piece and I am please with the quality. The only issue is the drawer were not lined up properly and required adjustment at the end, but I never intended to really use them for anything anyhow.

I ordered this for my front porch because I needed something small. It worked perfectly...was easy to put together and very sturdy once assembled. Great little bench!

This bench looks great and does exactly what I needed it to do--which is be an attractive place to neatly hold the dog's leashes and walking supplies near the door. However, it was very difficult to assemble--took us over 3 hours. There are a lot of pieces and the illustrations in the instruction manual require a lot of time to study and interpret. I also recommend using the glue sparingly to be sure there is enough to fill all the holes/posts. Once it is assembled it looks great and the quality is excellent, except for slight difficulty getting all the drawers to operate smoothly and close all the way.

I love this bench but just make sure you have the time to really lay out the pieces and look at instructions before you put it together.It is very sturdy and good looking. The only issue I had was that part of the bench was very beat up. The damaged part is on the back so no one will really notice...I just do.

Worth the time it took to put together- it looks great in my mud room.

Great looking bench. Perfect for the area in the hall where we sit and remove or put on shoes. Adds character and interest to its surroundings, and it's a great size--not too large

Love the bench, took a little while to assemble. Needed to drill one hole that was missed by the manufacturer. The drawers underneath are a tiny bit sticky, but not bad. Overall, this was a great purchase and looks absolutely wonderful in my entryway. Very sturdy, I love it!!

Although the package arrive with some damage, fortunately there was no damage to the product. After examining all the parts, I found that some of the parts were missing identification stickers. Assembly of the bench, although simple, took much longer than expected. Some of the instructions could have been better explained. I would like to have seen better drawer rails and either leg pads included for use on a wood floor. Overall, after assembly, the bench turned out very well and was perfect for the space I anticipated.

the bench is beautiful and easy to assemble. We were missing some of the hardware and my husband had to make a trip to the hardware store to find what he needed to finish. Also missing some of the black dots to cover up the screws.

I searched high and low for something just this size to fit a particular spot in my house. Didn't want to buy online but couldn't find ANYTHING in the stores that would work. I'm glad I bought this bench. It looks great and fits great where I put it and would fit any casual or elegant area of a house. Not easy to put together...very very time-consuming but I'm glad we got it anyway. Great price and looks great.

I love my "country bench"..placed tossed pillows on it to give a completed look...looks great!
