This item is the exact same thing my mother used to clean the carpets in her kindergarten class. It works well for carpets for a quick clean up but does not do well picking up crumbs--you have to run it back and forth several times. Works poor on hardwood floors.

The sweeper works well. I love that it is completely cordless. The only thing I'm not crazy about it how you have to empty it, but overall I love this little sweeper. Its very handy and picks up alot!!
This little sweeper is a mighty tool for sweeping up all manner of floors, wood, carpet and tile. I love mine and I am not always getting out the central vac.
