I have 3 yorkshire terriers and only one of them is trained to go outside, so you can imagine the headache of keeping my carpet clean. Well, let me tell you! I ordered this cleaner and it arrive in about 4 days. I opened the box and it took one screw to assemble, It took about 5 minutes to read the instructions and i went to work. It got all the urine stains and spills up!!!! I couldnt believe how filthy the water was when i was finished! it took all the smell out and lightened the carpet about 3 shades like new again. Not only that, but it dried in about an hour or so. now when my puppies have accidents i can just whip this out on a weekly basis when i clean and keep the carpet like new. Now i can have company and not be embarrassed because the house smells like urine and has stains. Dont rent the expensive machine for $50 just spend a little more and buy this one and the warranty and i promise you will be pleased!!!

Bought this in June. My husband got it out in August to use. Half way through the room the belts broke.Ordered new belts. Part fell out.Never even got one carpet cleaned. Bissell does not pay freight to service.Approved repair 150 miles away. UPS charges both ways would probably be as much as I paid.Sorry to have spent the money.I can pay to have product repaired myself or junk it.

Very good product for the money. I have a white carpet in one of my bedrooms and it had some pretty bad dirt spots. After they were pretreated, the cleaner got them up.

I'm quite pleased with this steam cleaner. Assembly was extremely simple. It is very easy to use. I would not recommend it if you are having to do heavy duty steam cleaning, but it's an excellent machine for maintenance. Do be prepared to get a lot of "fuzz" kicked up if your carpet is new and hasn't been steam cleaned before. I found that one tank full will do approximately 10 square feet before having to renew tank. Again, this is a maintenance machine, not a heavy duty cleaning machine. I've recommended it to several friends.

I've purchased several carpet cleaners over the years and this one is the lightest I've ever had. One tank of cleaning fluid cleans approx. 1 1/2 average sized rooms.

This machine cleans as well as those larger carpet-cleaning machines that you can rent. You'll be amazed at the dirt it removes from carpets (I have mostly flat-weave area rugs.) Yet, it's light weight enough to use, lift, and carry up and down stairs easily.

Do not buy this or take it even if it is given to you for free! It handles terribly. If you do not have a herniated disc now you will have one after trying to use this machine. It cleans poorly and the handle continually moves in and out of its insertion point. I wish I had kept my 7 year old bissell. Give your money to the hungry and keep the dirt on your carpets!!It does not even deserve one star.

This cleaner did a wonderful job on my carpet, sofa and chair I cleaned as soon as I received it. I used it two days straight. So far no complaints, and it seems to be an excellent cleaner.

Love these cleaners. This one is cheap in price, but does a wonderful job on my carpets.

Our carpet seems to get dirty often - we had it cleaned twice in the past 15 months and were not satisfied with either company. We used the Bissell Powerlifter PowerBrush Steam Cleaner and could not believe the end result - beautiful! I doubt I will ever pay another company to clean my carpets - this was beyond all expectations.

Its not one you rent from the grocery store but it works. After the first use we noticed a big difference in our carpet and now it gets used once a week and we couldn't be happier. but like I said its not as powerful as one of those $500 deals but it works great.

This is a very good steam cleaner. I used it on my light cream carpet and it worked great. A very good product, couldn't believe it was so cheap. I would recommand it to a friend for sure.

This is a great steam cleaner, cleaned up all the spots on my gray carpet including pet stains.A great value and received the item from Overstock in record time and in great condition. Would definitely recommend it to everyone.

The Powerlifter, PowerBrush Steam Cleaner worked well, however I was hoping that it would work GREAT. A little disappointed. It was easy to assemble, to use and to clean after use. I would recommend to a friend with a note to not expect miracles.

We were looking for a rug cleaner; this one seems to be a good value for the money, and does a very nice job. It is a little bulky; and it requires storage like a vacuum. Overall - I think it's a good buy.

After three cleanings of area rugs - I wash them once a month, the nozzles that squirt cleaning solution plugged up. Checking the internet (should have checked more than just the positive Overstock reviews!) we found that clogged nozzles are a common complaint - and not at all easy to unplug. We called the Bissell company, who put us through some tests (Have a screwdriver handy when you call the customer service line!) aand recomended we take it to a local repairman.The Bissell recommended repair person quoted me $89.95 to clean the machine and get it running again. You will note that that is more than we paid for the machine n the first place. Cleaning and belts are not covered under Bissell's warranty - making the warranty effectively useless.I had had a Bisselll with a heater and an upholstery brush that lasted several years. I had hoped that the machine would be more durable without the heater - but I guess not. Now we're in a quandary over what to buy the next time, and I'm depressed over buying a rug cleaner that would only work for three times on two 5x8 area rugs!
