I think that the cleaning is very good, however it is a little hard to meneuver for me. I do walk with a cane so it could be me. It has all the tools you need handy for you, but the on and off switch is right on top of the handle. Evertime, (well, maybe not everytime) I move it, I accidently shut it off. I'm happy with it's cleaning abiltiy and love the long cord. I can clean the whole room without having to change the plug location. In all, I'm satisfied with this vacuum and would recommend it.

Purchased a refurbished Bissell healthy home vacuum and can't distinguish it from a brand new one (which my daughter purchased--after me!). Vacuuming isn't a "chore" anymore -- I love the way it makes my carpet look and feel. I believe it's one of the best upright vacuum I've ever purchased.

This product came looking like new, I would not hesitate to order a refurbished item. The only complaint I have is that it is VERY heavy to push and manuver. The vacuum does everything it promises and comes with handy attachments. If Bissell could make it easier to manuver, I would rate it a 5. Overstock delivered quickly, I will certainly continue shopping with them.

This vacuum was very easy to put together. Yes, it is a little heavy but I'm 67 yrs. old so I would say it's not that heavy. It picked up everything well. One thing that upset me was the hand held attachment pulled some threads on my sofa. Overall, I would say it is worth the money. It was a good savings for an excellent machine. I've never been disappointed in Bissell products.

The first time i used it i had vaccumed the day before and didnt really walk on the carpets, I vaccumed with the bissell and was amazed at all the dog hair it pulled out of the carpet! For the people that say its too heavy they need to go to the gym, im 5'3 and 106lbs and can vaccum all 4 rooms without getting tired. The reason why I didnt give it 5 stars is because theres a sticker in the manuel that says the power cord contains lead and to make sure to wash your hands after use. This kinda freaked me out a little but I figured if it was a high amount they would recall it, so i just keep it in the closet and away from the dogs. I have only used it twice but so far its the best vaccum I have owned and great if yu own dogs I will keep you posted on how it works in a couple months.

Got from ups about one week ordered, i opened it and assembled together then powe up but not working with brush. I see little crack so not like new. Needless to say I returned it immediately, which fortunately was a piece of cake with Overstock.com.

Great service from Overstock! Loved the quickness and the easiness of my order.Great vaccuum--a little cumbersome for carrying, but does a wonderful job. My carpets are finally, truly clean!Even works on throw rugs without eating them. The no bag system is amazing and so easy to clean out!!!

I should've heeded the reviews talking about the weight of this machine. It is heavy beyond belief, making the "push & pull" action terrible if you have any sort of back issues (which I only do on occasion, but my back was killing after I used it). If you have to carry it upstairs and downstairs, forget, get something else, and it's impossible to vacuum the stairs with this as well. If you have a wide open area to vacuum, it's great and does a phenomenal job, but the weight of it makes me regret buying it.

love it, It really picks up dirt, a must for people with pets, and yes its heavy. Only down fall is that you bearly have to touch the start button and it will start. just like that. otherwise for a refurbished m/c it came in new box, and looks brand new, Plus your carpets look good when vacuumed

I nearly bowled over the UPS man when he dropped this off....I despised my old vacuum and desperatly searched for its replacement. I was set on the Dyson Animal because it sounded appropriate -- I have animals...understatement....I have two boys and a husband who constantly need reminding to take off muddy/snowy shoes, in addition to our rabbit, dogs, cats and horses. Plus, I get suckered into dogsitting regularly. So, we're messy -- But, my friend convinced me to look into this vacuum and I couldn't be more pleased!!!!I can't compare this to the Dyson, as I haven't owned one. I will say that it is easy to manuver, quiet, unbelievably affective, and affordable. The attachments are convenient, the wide path is amazing, the cord length is perfect!Emptying the nasty stuff out of the container isn't very hard...although I do have to get my hand in there to loosen the trapped pet hair.GREAT vacuum!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and it looked brand new! I don't believe that it was refurbished.

Great vacuum. The suction on this is awesome. If you're a cleaning fanatic, this is a great product to have!! A little heavy to move, but so worth it!!

I was very surprised at how well this cleaned my carpets. I was amazed at the amount of dirt that was still in my carpets from the previous vacuum cleaner. The carpets were never very clean. I am happy with the power and the suction. It is a bit heavy but I don't have stairs so it doesn't really matter much to me. I am very thrilled with the way it cleans and is not complicated to empty the dirt cup.

This thing has some serious sucking power. I've used all the attachments and they work great. This is definitely worth the money.

The Bissell Healthy Home Vacuum is a very powerful vacuum cleaner. I have two large dogs who bring along with them a lot of dirt and hair. I must admit I can see a big difference after using this vacuum cleaner just one time. However there are some big draw backs. The front small brush attachment never stays on so now I just leave it off. You must have good muscles, the first time I used it my arms and sides was very sore for days to follow. It's heavey, big and bulky, and hard to manuver. Although it's great at picking up the dirt and dog hair it would be better if it was easier to handle and manuver around. .

It's heavy, like others have said, but not really heavier than any other vacuum I've owned. I wonder when manufacturers will just put an extra carrying handle on the body of the vacuum so it's easier to truck up and down the stairs? Seems like an obvious improvement. Anyway ... Man, this thing really picks up debris! I've only used it like 4 times, and before I used it the last time, I had to empty out the canister because it was so full of carpet fuzz (I have new carpets). At first I thought something was wrong because there was no suctiion and it wasn't picking anything up. But when I realized it was because the canister was jam-packed with debris, I just emptied it and it was back in business. So, because it works so well, be prepared to empty that thing a lot! It's a little cumbersome to empty - I haven't figured out how to do it without getting some dirt on the floor. If you can, get someone to hold a garbage bag securely around it while you empty the canister, then I think less dirt will float out into the air and back onto the floor. The turbo brush attachment is nothing to get excited about. It's fine, it's just not anything super. It's lacking one of those skinny attachments for getting into crevices, but honestly, the suction is so good you don't really need it. If you get the hose anywhere close to what you want to clean, it'll suck it up. I'm very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone. I think it's a good value for the price.

I agree that this is very heavy but as I have no steps it is just fine. It is effortless to push. But to lift up and down steps would be an issue. Suction is unbelievable! I have never owned a vacuum with that good of suction. The container that collects all the dirt is not the easist to empty out but is ok. I own a dog and had just vacuumed with my old vacuum and couldn't believe how much more the new one sucked up when I used it right afterwards.

You'll love this vacuum! This vacuum cleans excellent, like many of the others have written. I so surprised at the amount dirt that picked up from my area rug in the livingroom. This is probably the best cleaning vacuum I have ever owned. Others have commented about the weight of the vacuum, I don't see that as problem. When shipped, (no fault of OVERSTOCK), UPS really banged up the box and a clip that holds the hose was broken. I called OVERSTOCK, the rep. was very kind, credited back to my account the cost of clip plus a little more. Thanks, OVERSTOCK! It's a pleasure doing business with you! Other companies could learn a lot from you!

If you have the opportunity to buy this vacuum, now sold out, you will not be disappointed. Two of the many features I like best are the "see through" suction areas and hose plus the hose is always on so no parts have to be switched from brush to hose usage. This machine, although reconditioned, looks like new and 1 screw puts it together out of the box. Thanks, Overstock, for another superb value.

I recently received my vacuum and was pleasantly surprised! We have 2 cats and 2 dogs and i was amazed at how much hair came up. All the parts were there and in good working order. This was definitely a great buy!
