We bought this to replace our Dyson, and I was hopeful based on the reviews I read. While the vacuum is certainly powerful, I actually find it difficult to push on our low pile rugs. I also think it is noisy, and the extension tube is not easy to maneuver and is not particularly long. On the positive side, the on board tools are very good, and it is easy to put together and empty the canister. For the money, I would rate it as good.Read More
I bought this vac for my son and daughter in law. In my experience, you can pay a lot of money for a vacuum that really under performs it's price and reputation. This vac is well priced and has gotten rave reviews from my son, who I is generally a snob in theses matters. I would definitely recommend it.Read More

The vacuum is light and easy to move around. The way the belt is set up on the brush bar enables the machine to get close to the wall from either side. It does such a good job that you really should empty the container after doing a room or two, but that is easy. Do wish it had a light.Read More

Thank you for shopping with us jalicia. There is a foot control for the brush roll. There are 3 height adjustments for pile height. You do not control the suction but it has an indicator for when suction is less than 100% due to a clogged hose or filter. You should check the belt regularly and replace as needed, instruction on how are in the manual (replacement belt 203-1093). Check the premotor filter monthly and clean as needed. If you have trouble pushing the vacuum over a carpet; adjust the height. I found all this in the manual. Have a great day. This has a Good Housekeeping seal for vacuum under $100.
The brush bar can not be turned off but when the handle is in the full up passion, the bush bar is high enough so that it does not make contact with rug or floor.
The brush bar can not be turned off. It has three heigh adjustments. There is not way to control the suction. In regard to the belt, I think it depends how often you use it. At home, I pass the vacuum two times a week, still is working very well.
