    I bought this only to clean the rugs. The suction is horrible and it does not clean the rugs. The plastic rod is very flimsy and breaks apart while you are trying to vacuum. The hair etc get stuck inside the garbage collector and it basically stops working and they are very hard to remove. Its a waste of money.

    The vacuum is good for doing stairs. Any other project of any size will be frustrating. The hose is flimsy; if you try to stand up straight and vacuum, the bottom part flips over. It clogs easily. Not for adults over four feet tall.

    • No beater bar. It's fine for high-pile and shag carpets. That's what I have. It's light enough to use on stairs which is what I bought it for. I can't us uprights anymore after spinal surgery and I can't lift any more than this vacuum which is about 8lbs. I use it all the time. It isn't for deep down cleaning, but it gets up fuzz and crumbs, and thread and things like that.
