I am extremely happy with this purchase. Really great. I love that it heats the water before it cleans too. I think that helps give a better clean. Item is light enough to move on high pile carpet easily. On the negative side, Overstock sent to me in the original box only. That would have been bad if it went directly to my house and sat at the front steps like that for hours. I told them how upset I was about it but it seems there is no way to guarantee they put it into an Overstock box.

We recently moved into a house with dirty and worn carpets. We hired a carpet cleaning company, but did not like the result. We hired another company, but were still unsatisfied. We were going to have to replace the carpets, but I decided to try this Bissell Proheat first. Initially I wanted the higher model with 2 roller brushes, but decided to save a little money and go with this unit. I used it today for the first time on our shabby carpeted stairway. I used it both in an upright position on the landings and used the upholstery/stairs tool for the stair treads. It did a beautiful job! It was simple to use and simple to clean afterwards. We can postpone replacing our carpets now, and that's a good thing! I'm so happy I got this.

Nice smaller sized rug shampooer. It really does work well. Other than the water collection tank being on the small side, we really like it and have used it several times with very good results.

I have a very active 3 1/2 yr old who loves juice as the beige carpet can attest to! I started with the Bissell cleaner Overstock sent with the shampooer but it just wasn't cutting it so I dissolved some Oxyclean in hot water, 1 Tbsp to the full pouch of water. Worked like MAGIC!!!

This is my 4th machine in more than 20 years and I can say with confidence that this is the best of the bissells. In my experience, all other features add nothing to the effectiveness of the clean and are therefore a waste of money. I agree that it would be more convenient if the bladder were larger but 1/4 of a gallon isn't enough of a difference.

I've had one of these rug cleaners for years and it finally died on me. This item is EVEN BETTER than the older version. Attachments make it MUCH easier to use and it worked just perfectly. It almost dries the carpets as you're scrubbing them.

For cleaning small areas this cleaner is great. It does a very good job cleaning and the water pick up suction is very good. The tank is pretty small, but overall I do recommend the rug cleaner.

I love this carpet shampooer. It's easy to use and works very well. I have a house with light beige carpets, three cats, and two dogs. The dogs are constantly tracking dirt in. I use this shampooer every couple months and it's really amazing how much dirt comes out of the carpet. There's also some extra attachments, I think for cleaning couches and whatnot, but I haven't tried those yet. I'd recommend this deep cleaner to anyone - it's very high-quality.

This product (current model and previous version that I had) has always compared nicely with commercial cleaners that you can rent. Does an excellant job of cleaning very deep stains. Easy to use and this model is narrower and easier to use. Wish any of them had better cleaning on the edges/sides.

While I understand why they did this, I like presoaking the carpet wtih just water and then rinsing with just water. So you have to prepare the water tank separately without solution to do this.

i like the carpet cleaner. i have used it once so far it does freshen up the rooms but doesn't do a good job removing all the stains, the tank is also too small but its ok is not like i plan to use it every day. overall i like it and i am going to use it once a month and with kids i have to keep my house presentable.
